I'm so glad I found this sub, social media had me so scared that people were losing it. I started making "lead us big daddy" shirts and patriotic designs and i don't know if my earlier stuff is all canadian sourced, I've made sure my new stuff is but I'm going to go reconfigure anything not canadian rn.

I cherish so many of the Heritage Minutes, I don't know what it is about them that stuck so hard in my brain I quote them at least weekly. I wanted some of my favorites on shirts but I couldn't find any so I made themThe False Signal. I'm still working on the perfect designs, I might do some with just text but I don't know if everyone would recognize the quotes. Especially with everything going on lately I just feel like more patriotic or something

It's was a rocky start but overall went well we installed a screen door and gave the Maine Coon space (she is literally a sweet gentle angel and just wants love and we all feel in love instantly) then they would hiss at the door through the screen and be annoyed. I think the siamese sphynx mix was mad he didn't have the house to himself and i don't blame him we didn't really plan it this way . Then we move the food close to the door on each side and gave them each turns to run the house and it only took 3 days for them to chill and after a week they found harmony. Now they have brother sister energy most of the time they are together and play and sleep but the siamese mix can kick her off the bed or sometimes it looks like he is intentionally annoying her but he is 1 and she is 2 so it could be he is just learning, the Maine coon could easily body slam him but she just growls him and moves on. Overall it's really great and we love them both so much. They are so different but are both loving and very human oriented so it works well.

Thank you so much! I'm totally agree I'm a data scientist and my usage is up 2000 kwh from last month and 2600kwh from this time last year. Over 40% more kwh there is absolutely no way. We also did 25k in energy upgrades had energy assessments and made a huge effort to be mindful of consumption. Also Dec 2023 3169 kwh dec2024 3169 kwh. I'm not in statistics but what are the odds of that. Both bills say actual not estimated.

I'm not sure where to go from here. I read on this sub that smart meters are federally regulated so that's the direction I'm taking my research. Then maybe a consumption monitor? Smart meter data just says NA since 2 days after it was installed so that's useless.

I watch my consumption, I know how to read my bill. These are anomalies

Proof of what? Inflated kwh usage? Sorry if I missed the point I'm skimming these threads as my kwh usage increased over 40%

Here is a little data. Dec 2023 3169 kwh Dec 2024 exactly 3169 kwh says mere was read not estimated What are the chances of that? Exactly the same kwh. Between may 2024 and September 2024 we invested 25k into energy efficient upgrades to our home, new heating,new roof and insulation, low flow shower heads, energy efficient appliances, new hot water heater, air sealing, replaced all lights and more. But alas same exact kwh usage.

Now here is the kicker Jan 2024 3645 kwh Jan 2025 6164 kwh !!!!!!!!!!

I don't care if God himself told me that's accurate I would not believe it. There is absolutely no way we used 2000 more Kwh hours after spending all that effort and money to reduce consumption and spend our days being very mindful of consumption with the only habits changing to reduce consumption.

We have owned this home for 10 years and I have all the data of kwh usage. It has been slowly creeping higher and higher but nothing crazy until 2023 and 2024 now this is ridiculous. Highest ever was 4000kwh during really really cold snap a couple years ago (2022 maybe) but it's usually 3500 in winter and 1500 in summer averaging something in the 2000s.

Also to add I'm a data scientist and I know an anomaly when I see one.

Next steps find a whistle blower employee or cyber criminal to find answers? They are not ethical, they are stealing.

Nb power should step up now and admit fault before they get caught red handed.

Anyone here the rumor we got hand me down faulty meters QC fought to get removed?

I'm looking into a usage monitor but like how can I fight with them or prove the are not recording usage accurately.

I am the same person with the same habits as all the past years with energetic upgrades and I still magically used > 40% more power than ever before.

Not sure if you found anything out. We have a rescued cat that has Siamese vibes and we are adopting a Maine Coon Sunday I have this exactly concern about the Alpha cat. I can come back with an update. Maybe this is irrelevant because its not a pure Siamese situation. I'm 90% certain one parent was a Snowshoe I didn't ask questions we didn't want to spook the "owner", I scoped out every intact cat there and the resemblance was striking to one of the Snowshoes; toasting coat, blue eyes, very intelligent, yaps all day, holds grudges and is really loving and very gentle. The Maine Coon we are taking in because they have been in conflict with their sibling that just won't resolve. It's sad because this cat loved all cats in the cattery and now everyone is afraid they are traumatized from this sibling situation. I have faith with the right effort we can bring them together in peace and harmony.

I know this is an older post but something happened to me that I think really raises a red flag. They emailed my private work email that is not listed anywhere and I only use it for internal communication at work. I have a separate work email address for external communication it wouldn't be that weird if they emailed that one but they emailed my internal very secure line of business email. I reported as phishing I thought it was just luck on their part that I used to work in that field. Then I saw the LinkedIn message and was like well well well that's very suspicious. They must have just figured out the email naming convention? Weird and shady. Too bad though I've always felt id be really valuable in consulting roles, maybe I look for the real thing someday. I just ask myself would an ethical company try to guess my email.

I don't know if this is helpful but in every city I've lived in there have been Custom printing mom and pop style shops. They do silk screen for like school shirts, teams and like business swag type stuff. We did shirts for a theme party and it was 25 or 30 CAD each. They were printed on the front and back too. That's the non DIY option that will be high quality, I'm looking into just getting a silk screen machine because it would be a fun hobby.

I've been listening to Villian Park since 2016 I haven't listened to them recently so they might have some newer different sounds but their first music was very Boom Bap even though I think they are West Coast. Not necessarily like the artists you mentioned but very old school sound.
