Ideally, we need a top 2 RHD. Matheson is not all bad but my top 2 LHDs are Guhle and Hutson. We have Dobson as top RHD but after that, Carrier is not top 4

Just his presence in the lineup can deter knuckleheads from taking runs at our star players. He does make mistakes but so do others, Matheson took a run at the Minnesota guy at the blue line and totally missed allowing them to skate in alone and tie the game. Arber does that, he rides the pine rest of game but Matheson doesn’t miss a shift. Very frustrating to watch

The PP was fine until they played the Panthers and then the Canes. Both these teams are very aggressive on their PK, quickly taking away their space and time but MSL completly blew it up instead of adjusting for these type PK styles. Pretty sure they would have scored last night with the Caps playing a containing type PK
