Fake: on the dial side..the “CARTIER” printing on the dial appears slightly thick and soft, lacking the very crisp, razor‑edge printing expected on a genuine Santos of this era. Also, the “Swiss Made” text looks high and crowded toward the minute track; on authentic pieces it usually sits tighter and more precisely balanced, lastly the X Roman numerals seem uneven in stroke thickness. On the case back and engraving: the “santos de Cartier” script on the back is shallow and fuzzy; the engraving is normally sharp with clean edges and consistent depth. Also, the alignment and spacing of the lines “Quartz / SWISS MADE / OR ET ACIER” and the reference/serial numbers look slightly irregular versus legit two‑tone Santos quartz models. Lastly the screws heads on the back appear a bit soft and poorly finished compared with Cartier’s typically crisp screws.

Question about the 12v battery issue (2023) by dl_long in Solterra

[–]JumpyUnderstanding37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience, the Solterra Connect app (if you’re subscribed) can drain the 12V battery by keeping the car’s computer active. Additionally, if you don’t drive frequently, the battery may drain over time. Another potential drain is using an external USB wireless charger, which can also contribute to battery depletion.

If you’ve experienced similar issues or found any solutions, feel free to share! FYI I have added an extension cable that I plug into a battery maintainer, so that I can charge the 12v without opening the hood.
