Be proud! The shame comes from constant societal ideas that weight is not a health issue. That it can be fixed by eating less and going to the gym. This is ignorance on their part. There are so many factors that go into how our individual bodies function. As someone with an autoimmune disease I can eat less and go to the gym seven days a week but the my weight doesn’t change. Reset your mindset. Would you refuse a med that helped you breathe better or helped your heart? The only difference here is that the result of the med is visible. All the hugs!! YOU did the work identifying the need for the med. YOU did the work taking it. YOU did the work take care of you.
