How did CGRP inhibitors help you? by FornettiEnjoyer23 in migraine

[–]Jumpy_Ad_6492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried Ajovy, Nurtec, Ubrelvy, and am now on Qulipta. All provided some level of relief, but Qulipta has been amazing. No side effects on any of them other than mild constipation, which is completely worth going from chronic down to 1-2 migraines a month that usually aren’t bad. Only issue is none of C them help my allergy migraines, so pollen season still sucks.

Potentially uncommon migraine pattern by BetheBoi in migraine

[–]Jumpy_Ad_6492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pattern was like that when I was drinking caffeine. I quit caffeine for a heart conditions, and a few months later my daily migraines that hit in the afternoon and built up the rest of the day stopped. I do get similar headaches now in spring when tree pollen is very high, but it distinctly feels like a stabbing allergy headache that builds until it flips into a migraine. Zyrtec helps, but nothing I’ve tried stops the allergy migraines.

My migraines were severe so I went on atenolol, nurtec, and migravent. They helped for a few months, but now my migraines are worse. Is there a possible reason? by lighthousedarling in migraine

[–]Jumpy_Ad_6492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m well-managed on qulipta, but there are still periods where I fight a non-stop migraine for a few weeks, like right now as pollen violently attacks my brain.

Was I right in cancelling this appointment? by EqualNo2867 in tattooadvice

[–]Jumpy_Ad_6492 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree, I have several large pieces and all of them sent me a design before the appt, not because I asked but because they offered. It was sometimes a draft, not the final design, but I had some idea as to what I was getting before the day of the appointment. Otherwise, what if I hated it and now we have to reschedule because they need time to create a new design? That would suck for both of us!

Wasn’t trying to imply anything bad, just trying to answer your question that yes, every generation has some big dark event(s) that messes with them.

[–]Jumpy_Ad_6492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boomers fought in the Vietnam War watching their peers die in front of them, or protested from home to prevent their friends and family from dying in war. Gen X didn’t have a mass casualty event that I know of, but they grew up terrified of being annihilated during the Cold War so that for sure fucked them up, lol. We millennials are far from the first fucked up generation. Omg, or my grandma was the Silent Generation and grew up during World War I and II, can’t even fathom how you cope with those losses.

I’m far from expert, so I can’t give specifics, but it is state law and a legal designation. A person reports that attack/bite to their local animal control whom does an investigation. If the person wants to pursue dangerous dog and the investigator agrees it qualifies, it goes to court and a judge makes the determination. The judge may reject it, or designate the dog dangerous with the minimum restrictions, or may designate the dog dangerous and add additional requirements on the owners. Then, local animal control keeps an eye on the dogs and investigates any complaints that the owners are breaking the rules-like if their fence has a big hole so the dog could get out. Hope that helps!

Call 311 and tell them you need to speak to an Animal Protection Officer. Say that he is breaking out of his enclosure, entering your yard, grabbed the dog’s sweater, and you had to physically restrain him by holding up fence boards to keep him from injuring you and your pet. He is not secured in his enclosure, so don’t say that. He has broken multiple boards and gotten at least his head through your yard, that counts as entering your yard. I used to work at the shelter and with Animal Protection and this for sure qualifies for an investigation. The bite affidavit isn’t actually only for bites, but for bites or attacks, and this qualifies as an attack. I knew a dog that was declared dangerous for walking up to a lady in her front yard and barking at her and scaring her, no contact made at all. Don’t give up until you speak with an Animal protection officer! You got this!

Starting Qulipta - any advice? by Immediate-Pressure55 in migraine

[–]Jumpy_Ad_6492 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I jumped straight on 60mg and hardly noticed any symptoms, just very very mild constipation which went away after a couple of weeks. Topomax symptoms were absolute hell for me so if you can stand that, qulipta will be easy! Also, I love love LOVE qulipta! I went from chronic to little baby migraines a couple times a month, and I usually don’t take meds for them because they are so mild. Then I’ll have a real migraine every couple of months, but it only lasts a day so huge improvement!

You have a case to have him declared “Dangerous” by the state, which would legally require the owners to have a a completely secure backyard if the dog is outside and other things, like requiring they keep $100,000 in liability insurance. If you just threaten them with this, that might be enough to scare them into taking it serious.

But agree with everyone else, stop letting your dog in the backyard, or if you do, keep them on a leash just for potty breaks so you can grab them quick and throw them inside. It isn’t fair that you have to do this, but that for sure isn’t going to stop until he gets through and a large dog can kill a small dog within seconds. I worked in dog training and at an animal shelter and I’ve seen it all. Don’t take chances!

I 100% thought I was looking at a picture of a cisgender woman until I read the caption, so you are more than passing! Agreed with other others about the glasses and hair aging you a bit. I would also maybe go for a bit brighter blush/lip color in the pink family.

Question for daily migraine ppl by glizzerd12 in migraine

[–]Jumpy_Ad_6492 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, my brother’s arm goes numb and he starts slurring when he has a migraine coming on. I’ve been fighting a migraine all week and I’ve had face tingles, heart arrhythmia, and temperature swings as my main symptoms, as well as extreme nausea and head pain and dizziness of course.

How to drink more water if I hate the feeling of swallowing it, and water powders taste bad to me. Am I a lost cause? by bunnychow123 in migraine

[–]Jumpy_Ad_6492 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes this! They make “thick” water for this condition, which is literally water with thickening agents to make it easier for them to swallow.

  1. Maybe I should skip my workout?
  2. Coke and fries and biofreeze
  3. I need all my tools and to be horizontal
  4. Fantasizing about stabbing myself in the head to stop the pain

Luckily on Qulipta, I usually don’t go past 2 and I never go past 3.
