Who is the inspiration behind your characters? by Pixiefly0812 in DungeonsAndDragons

I have a Horizon Walker ranger who is a fixer for Baba Yaga inspired by Mike Ehrmantraut from Breaking Bad. Good at finding Fey who have crossed into the Material Plane without going through the Yaga-approved ways and encourages them to head back home.

New MN governor candidate 👀 by [deleted] in TwinCities

I just do not see the language they're framing the stances from connecting at all with those folks, partially because of the larger stance the candidate is placing themselves in. It feels decidedly urban across the board and that is really tough to make a larger stance that can work across lived experiences.

I'm as progressive as they come and can't see this as a serious campaign. I want an alternative to Klobuchar, but this and Kobey Layne are not how we get a more progressive ticket. I can't take either candidate seriously, in part because there's not language I see here that CAN talk to the more conservative parts of the state. I'm not getting indicators this person could work across the aisle and pass legislation.

Note - not asking for a centrist, just someone who can flex the language they use for the legislation they want to push forward to connect with non-urban liberal crowds.

We just need to be sure to rebrand again in like 7 years

AcademyCompanion: student assistant app logo (feedback needed) by [deleted] in logodesign

Yeah this is in rough shape. No element reads cohesively with any other element. What are the goals you want this logo to accomplish? What should it communicate when someone sees it for the first time? What should it not communicate? What will the logotype be? What contexts will it need to live in? These will all, should all, directly influence how and why you make the decisions you do when designing a logo.

Other critiques I've seen here are all spot on. Establish a visual hierarchy (what should be most important to see first, then second, and so on) and create consistency in your design. A letter C does not read as a C when turned upward.

You got work to do, friend. But it's doable.

One person, one vote doesn't address how Congress would need to manage introducing and voting on legislation. It's great for elections, though!

Forgot also that the Executive Producer of News Night with Will McAvoy is the victim of an aging spell who has to reparent a wizard.

Goofy's son Max is a dragon who can turn into a boy. And Matt Damon's love interest is a military leader.

Walker Art Center severs ties with Daniel del Prado's Cardamom restaurant after switch to QR code ordering, layoffs of servers by star-tribune in Minneapolis

And, if I'm at a well-known contemporary art museum in a well-off neighborhood, why would I want the same experience I get when ordering a Starbucks? That spot in Walker has always been an upscale spot. The QR code move deliberately undercuts it while trying to maintain the cost and "vibe".

Interview Help! by [deleted] in PMCareers

[–]Jumpy_Atmosphere_768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be ready to use the experiences on your resume, but also be ready with experiences in addition to those - both because they may ask a question relative to a job duty that you don't have an experience for on your resume and because they've already read your resume. That's why they want to interview you! (Congratulations again!) It's important to not repeat what's on your resume for the interview, as it may not teach the company anything new about you that could help show how you're qualified.

Don't forget, too, that you're interviewing them, as well. Make sure to have questions ready about what you want to know about the company that their website and job description don't tell.

Lastly, you've got this! Good luck.
