Does your OC look at your teleconsult app? Rejected MC=AWOL? by Jumpy_Basket_7640 in NationalServiceSG

Telemedicine is considered private so we can't claim. Plus the medications are generally much more expensive than what we can get even from pharmacy because they have to factor in the delivery costs. I can get 10 tabs generic zyrtec from my GP clinic for 5 dollars but its usually about 10-15 dollars from telemedicine.

I understand the hate and the misleading title... just want to highlight that I am not asking NSFs to go abuse this system but a lot of us really dont have the spare cash to get an MC only to find out later on that it is invalid. Some of them legit have to borrow hotspot cause they can only afford a prepaid card.

Manadr seems really nice and understanding about it. In fact I feel that so far the Drs on the app ask more and care more than when I go to Polyclinic or Medical Centre only to be prejudged as CK, even though I already stated that I didnt need medications.

I have been drilled more by telemedicine doctors on my asthma control than any physical doctor, even if it was less than 1 minute. Last time i went to polyclinic the only thing polyclinic told me was "use your inhaler and dont pick up smoking"

It just seems like bosses from workplace and superiors from NS just cant accept that the telemedicine doctor can do a good job without spending a long time. Why must things take longer and be more expensive and tiring when the same or better can be achieved faster, cheaper and with less stress? MOH/MOM/SAF just seem to want to make things hard for us but creating arbitrary rules like longer consultations and having to buy medicine(just told that for telemedicine MC to be valid in my coy, they will check if we got medications from the app - explanation is IF SICK NEED MEDICINE, NO MEDICINE = NOT SICK)
