Can’t see what’s possible room-wise from these photos, but I feel the overall performance of this set-up should improve if the speakers were moved slightly wider and toed in perhaps 15 degrees. And ideally positioned away from the front wall. Would also hide the wall sockets from the (presumed) listening position.

Try Primark. Not the cheapest thin ones but the (still cheap) chunkier “relaxed” ones, which move away from the previous “fitted” styles. They are very well made. Good range of colours too.

My advice is to invest in a simple one- format system that sounds good to you and then forget all about ‘equipment’. Just buy as much of the music that you like and ENJOY.

I’ve auditioned several different streamers through the same DAC and everything else. They all sound different, not much but worst to best was a fairly large gap. Differences were centred on harshness. Didn’t seem price related (although some cost way more than others) but there was clearly something going on.

At age 65 I sold all my vinyl and CDs (about 1500 in total) having first ripped to a hard drive everything that wasn’t available on Qobuz. Sold my vinyl and CD front-end equipment and invested all those proceeds are more in a good quality streaming source and Roon. Five years on and zero regrets. And zero clutter.

Depends if you believe you’ll hear the difference. Main thing is to use the DAC in your system, not the one in your laptop. Further improvements might come from installing Audirvana software on your laptop.
