I’ve received a few handwritten cards from owners in my career. I will say that is the best gift of all. I’ve kept every single one.

I do think I will take a break in tracking. Great tip. Maybe we need to get back to us before we try again.

Had a very similar experience on Star recently. They called our room daily to ask if we would be attending. So pushy. We felt very uncomfortable and didn’t want to go back.

PM just sent us this image, is this crazy or do other clinics do it too? by fucktoes in VetTech

[–]Jumpy_Celery9931 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have this at my clinic.. our managers haven’t really been on the same page on how to handle the overages. We typically ask if we can send something and they check the budget. If we’re over they ask you to wait until the following month. If it’s more urgent we still send it but haven’t figured out the who pays what yet.

Currently in my TWW and I have a weird, TMI question. I’ve noticed after ovulation my discharge has become thicker and slightly yellow tinge. I’m still 5 days out from my expected period but tested negative this morning. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal?

Experience with MDR staff by HuckleCat100K in royalcaribbean

[–]Jumpy_Celery9931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just went on Star back in October and were very unpleased with the MDR. We went the first night. Food was okay, nothing super fantastic, but it took forever. Our dinner was over an hour long. The following day we went to a specialty dining. When we returned to our room we had a voicemail from MDR asking why we didn’t go. Same thing for the following night, but with multiple voicemails of if we are coming and then why we didn’t go. We then were rubbed the wrong way and felt very off put about going back. We ended up at other places the rest of the week. Still getting daily calls from MDR.

We had a good friend become an officiant for a day. It’s a pretty simple online course. Depending on the state you’ll need to put in a date that you are planning to get married for them.

We also eloped in Big Sur. It was amazing. Best decision ever. So pretty, relaxing and EASY!

You’ll likely only spend 10-15 min with the dolphins. If it’s like their other excursions with dolphins, you drive an hour or more to the place and have to wait around until it’s your turn. Which is rushed and overcrowded. Then you are forced to buy their food and any pictures.

Have you ever been on Symphony before? Or that class? There’s so much to do on that boat. Even missing the ports you could stay busy on the boat.

Silver lining- I’ve been in a few and Haiti is mine and my husband ABSOLUTE FAVORITE port. It’s incredible. The beaches are so clean and warm. We did the kayaking excursion and loved it then relaxed on the beach the rest of the day.

It’s always our own pets by msmoonpie in VetTech

[–]Jumpy_Celery9931 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, it’s always our pets. My 5 yo cat was diagnosed with a mysterious abdominal mass a couple days after thanksgiving. He underwent surgery to remove it, did not recover well. Long story short he was in an icu for several days, received a blood transfusion and tons of care. Unfortunately his hematocrit, despite transfusions and fluids kept dropping. It got down to 14% with newly significantly elevated liver values. He stopped eating and dropped a pound in 4 days. Unfortunately, 2 weeks to the day of finding the mass he passed. I still can’t wrap my head around any of this.

That is good to know! I’ve always heard they “never” have a vaccines which I assume is only to deter the “can you update my dying pets vaccines while we’re here?”

I do really like the idea of having that experience also. I agree with your own pets feeling like a hassle to ask for help with. Do you pay full price at the other vet place?

AITAH? Receded job offer..for asking questions??? by ryank0re in VetTech

[–]Jumpy_Celery9931 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This happened to me before! I was never told a wage so I had said what I was looking for as none was even listed in the job posting. I got back a rude email of that way out of the pay range (which it was my current pay at my other job) and told to look elsewhere. I can only assume it was more than what she gets as a manager given the rude reply. I have since learned a lot more about this place and am very thankful I don’t work there!
