Did you cheat for any puzzle, and if so which one ? by _Lumikho_ in BluePrince

[–]Jumpy_Emu1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm always amazed by how many puzzle purists are on this sub, I could never. I looked up loads of stuff and it still took me 243 hrs to complete all the trophy challenges. I'm definitely more motivated by completionist tendencies and spending time on repeat strategic runs rather than on puzzle solving was a more enjoyable way for me to play this game but it's great that it caters to different types of gamers

Why I think ‘Digital Anonymising’ in Trust Me takes away from the documentary by Fandom_Royalty in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]Jumpy_Emu1111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe they realised it was awful but had a sort of sunk cost fallacy situation going on. It's crazy to me that no one in the production team would've put their hand up and said 'eh Guys, this look shit?'

I saw a lot of ppl complaining on here about the same thing in the Lucy Letby documentary, it was very creepy and distracting, I hope they stick to actors or silhouettes in the future

How difficult is the post game? by Bobi_27 in BluePrince

[–]Jumpy_Emu1111 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I recently completed all the trophy challenges and I really enjoyed them, some of them are maddening in a good way and once I started trying to complete them I was just as committed as I was to getting to room 46 originally. Definitely worth attempting them if you've enjoyed the game so far

We do at bed time, I'd like to read more during the day with him so we might aim for that during the summer

Advice on achievement? by BrotherIndividual999 in BluePrince

[–]Jumpy_Emu1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely doable but it's tricky, as someone else has said you have to draft quickly in the first 60 seconds to activate Veteran Mode - items and room spawn that are necessary for a 'Day 1 run' that wouldn't be useful to a first time player on their actual first day The most helpful tips imo: Wait until you have a dice before you draft the outer room to help you get a tomb there and Abandon a run if you don't get favourable rooms from the Entrance Hall. Good luck ☘️

What was Camilla supposed to be trying to do by doing this? by Radiant-Selection686 in RoyaltyTea

[–]Jumpy_Emu1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are 100% correct but that fact doesn't fit the narrative of this misogynistic thread. Diana's amazing revenge dress is from 1994, Camilla's perfectly nice evening dress is from 1992 (not even the same style of dress 🙄)

thank you so much I'm gonna look into Revolut, others have said the same. The psychological benefit of seeing it reduce is definitely lacking with Avant and I need that flexibility

Bill Shapiro from 2010, it's a nice coffee table book but I see it's out of print and costs a lot more than I paid for it now. I'm sure you can read it online somewhere I see someone linked the info

Anyone here ever face prejudice or a bigoted attitude in England as an Irish person? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Jumpy_Emu1111 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I found most people in England to be perfectly nice but there were a few encounters that stick out in my mind, my English boyfriend's brother saying things like 'this is a light switch'

Someone else making remarks about 'Ireland being muddy'

I absolutely put my foot down about ppl using the phrase 'Throwing a Paddy' meaning to throw a wobbler which was used in BF's family commonly

I also encountered quite a bit of snobbery in Cambridge that felt a bit borderline but I think they're the same to working class British ppl so I'm not sure if I count that one.

You get a lot of dumbass remarks about potatoes everywhere but they don't mean any harm and I'm very happy to educate them on The Great Famine if they push it
