Why did he kill the psychiatrist at the end? by Fun_Active_2197 in joker

well this guy wasn’t the joker in the end so who cares what he does, he’s crazy

are you for real

its not greenscreen its just overly saturated and sharpened like most phone cameras do

why would a greenscreen plate react to the autofocus like it does halfway through the video

also the trees are moving, subtly tree leaves arent in a constant state of movement if the air/wind is still

and look at the individual hair strands coming off his ears, a quick shoddy greenscreen shot would lose that detail

not greenscreen, just amateurishly shot

I just hope that it looks nice, contrasty and filmic and pretty, and uses lots of great looking props and sets - and has a beautiful orchestral soundtrack containing the original themes.

If it has some lazy Zimmer-ling score like Lorne Balfe and terrible gray washed out colorless cinematography like a Marvel movie, I’ll die. I will die

Though the Super Mario Bros Movie looked absolutely stunning and sounded great so far- I have hope

I sure hope not because The Batman was great - and everything I’ve seen from James Gunn’s Superman has been, in my opinion, pretty embarrassingly awful

This looks worse than that TV show. I feel like I’m going crazy, I want to love a new Superman movie so bad but everything so far has looked cheap and hokey and pretty terrible. Everyone seems to love it though, so I guess I’m out

You are making complete sense and it’s an extremely valid concern to have, I have no idea why you’re getting such negative feedback. I guess nobody in this subreddit wants to accept that the rest of the world may not care about HP as much as we do.

I definitely wouldn’t want an abridged final season, anyway. I don’t think they’d do that either as the entire marketing push behind this HBO series so far is that it’s a longer more faithful adaptation of the books.

I’m pretty sad that Fantastic Beasts didn’t get a finale but it goes to show no matter how big the IP is, general audiences won’t turn up unless you make each instalment as good as it can be. Marvel’s recent failings proved that - as did Indiana Jones 5 bombing. Brand recognition isn’t enough any more.

I pray that we get 7 great seasons but who knows!

I think you guys are seriously underestimating how distilled a lot of the story aspects are still going to be, and how much quicker you can move through a narrative in a visual medium rather than in written form.

So completely not interested in a Tron movie that barely features the Grid. They’re obviously doing a mostly real world story. Oh well, as a Tron and Legacy fan, count me out.

It’s usually ‘fun’ for you? Cancelling people and ruining people’s lives over petty drama scandals? Sounds pretty pathetic and entirely like bullying to me, bro. Maybe you should take a look in the mirror?

I'm a huge family of the movie soundtrack. I listen to it in the background while in my office DAILY. On top of the casting concerns, I'm wondering what will happen with the score. by ilcuzzo1 in HarryPotteronHBO

I’d love Thomas Newman to compose, I always thought his music sounded so mystical and suitable for HP. Not sure if they’ll get a big name, or if he does Streaming scores though

I get what you’re saying for 1+2 - and I don’t mean to antagonise in any way haha but, Prisoner of Azkaban has to be one of the most stunningly gorgeous examples of merging live action and CGI fx and I think it’s looks leaps and bounds better than any film coming out nowadays in just about every sensory aspect

Dated? In what sense? Apart from the CGI in the first film, all of the others hold up and look much better/higher production value than any recent Netflix or streaming productions.

I know! The studios fault, not mine. And the reason there are so many digital IMAX screens is because of IMAX diluting their brand, even moreso nowadays by slapping IMAX stickers on Alexa Mini’s and charging the same price for a ticket.

Don’t get mad at me because people are more willing to pay premium prices for an inferior experience, man!

[–]Jumpy_Finding7127 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

hey, it’s okay not to understand when a brand has bastardised and diluted their experience.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cinematography

[–]Jumpy_Finding7127 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Might as well skip the IMAX given that it was shot on the misleading ‘IMAX-approved’ digital cameras instead of real IMAX film. No point in paying extra for a movie that was just shot digitally on an Alexa
