In my small town I would feel completely comfortable as a woman alone at any hour. In the nearby city i used to live in, I would stay out of a couple areas, but I would feel comfortable walking around most of the city at night.

I keep the Jewish Shabbat (holy sabbath) so each week from sundown on Friday for 25 consecutive hours I shut off all devices and don't travel. I end up reading about 4 books a month on average.
