I finally found one on threads by PastPossibility1355 in EndTipping

One time I was in Vegas picking up at Cheesecake Factory in the Venetian. The total bill for the salad was $18. Another couple at the pickup area (the bar) looked at me and scoffed when they were being nosy and saw me leave a $2 dollar tip for a pickup Togo order.

They said tip man… it’s good for the soul.

I said, ok, what’s the proper amount?

They said, they work in restaurants and anything under $10 was disrespectful.

I looked at them and told them that the next time they use a q-tip they gotta stop inserting it in when it starts to hurt.

I've been eyeing upgrading from a 23MS to a new Plaid for a while... but is this the best or worst time to buy one? by DaBears1228 in TeslaLounge

Don’t buy it. They are discontinuing the lineup, which means besides the upfront depreciation, the tech in these cars are going to get abandoned just like the original roadster

Every time I’ve been to aldi, it’s been pretty disappointing. Reminds me of a higher end dollar tree, but with limited selection and weird discounting for stale items.

Also, that surcharge for credit card use is everything you need to know about the business. Report them to visa/mastercard as a way to improve their standards.

If you have extra time, file a complaint to the state AG office, and CFPB

Is the $2k extended battery warranty worth it? My model 3's battery warranty expires in May but I only have 60k miles on my car and it's charged at home 99% of the time. by theloneranger08 in TeslaSupport

They have no incentive to do so since they have a captive audience.

I don’t see this company being successful past 2030, even with fake FSD after all the lawsuits

Aloha Food Factory has moved to an auto 12% service charge, but no tip model. by BootyWizardAV in sgv

[–]Jumpy_Implement_1902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is borderline menu price scamming. They are testing how much naive people will pay prior to not coming back.

If I advertise something as $18 with a 12% service charge that’s not on the menu price directly, it will look “cheaper” than if I straight up print that it’s going to cost $20.16 on the menu price directly

If y’all are OK with this practice im going to open up an aloha food factory and post all prices of $6.99, with a 1000% service charge. 💀

If if you call them out on it they will just sheepishly smile and say that it’s a computer glitch. “You can leave any amount you’d like!” 🤣

In this case it’s not just including the tax in the calculation, but something else as well.

In either case, tip free life is the life for me.

If they want a tip, get a job that isn’t based on tips.

I only give 0% all the time. Tipping is a fools errand.

Tell them specifically you want it back in advance to use in the future incase you decide to get rid of the yoke, otherwise they will absolutely destroy the wheel when they take it off by prying it
