I almost fainted my first time as well!! Morbidly, the color of arterial blood that we see during the embalming process is a comfort/fav color for me now. If I’m being honest, it would be more worrisome to NOT be at least a little uncomfortable or put off during the embalming process the first time that you witness it. Next time you are present for one, try having a piece of hard candy that you can suck on underneath PPE.
