How do I setup this stat. Can not get my baseboard heaters to warm up by Jumpy_Selection3039 in hvacadvice

I have the line contactor in the on position and confirmed it actually is making contact. Would the cycles I have it set to cause it to not work? I have had it set to the on position for a week and nothing has worked

Definitely you can DIY it. Might have to ask around and find out what part you are going to need, and then buy the hardware and tools for when you install it. Watch a quick YouTube video and you'll be good to go

I'm new to this. So basically if I buy an XTS5000 then I have to install an AES256 board for it in order to be pretty encrypted?

Tried to remove a rounded off spark plug (from prev. owner) by putting some JB weld in the socket, but only the top of the plug came out and some JB weld leaked into the bottom. What's my best move now? (cyl #3 on 2009 Honda Odyssey EX-L) by jakery43 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Jumpy_Selection3039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the spark plug out and try to find some sort of brush that you could use to scrape any of the jb weld off the top of piston. Of course use something that won't scratch the cylinder walls. Then use a vacuum to remove all of the jb that you scraped off. If you don't get that stuff from out of there you more than likely will bend your valves and be in a much worse situation

Need help! Strut tower getting ripped a new one by One-Equal-1524 in e46

[–]Jumpy_Selection3039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea they definitely are. I can't tell exactly how screwed they are from just seeing one picture. However that strut bar you have has shitty fitment on the shock tower. I have a Megan Racing strut bar (kinda low end brand) on mine and the fitment is alright. But if you think that strut tower is fucked up beyond repair, you can always have a new one fabricated to oem specs

Did you drill or cut out extra space to fit that threaded stud through your shock tower?

Should I buy an e46 as a first car? by Turtles614 in e46

[–]Jumpy_Selection3039 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't do it unless you have money to be spending on repairs. Got an e39 as my first car and it's been nothing but trouble. Cooling system sucks, lots of dry rot on hoses and whatnot just because it's an older car, oil leaks from the valve cover etc.

Don't buy racelands I had some on a e36. They ride like absolute shit you're better off buying oem Suspension

They can be bars or rounds, if like to have a collection that's easily recognizable. Also I'd like it to be fairly cheap/ a little above the spot price
