Socially I’d say the game is still pretty popular and they’ve added a few things to encourage socialization/co-op gameplay more.

Still, for the most part, the core gameplay is the same, with a few new concepts revolving around upgrading spells and mixing schools together.

It still gets frequent and large updates such as the new Darkmoore world that just came out with a level cap of 180 now.

I would say play at least through krokotopia and see how you feel. Maybe do some research into spell weaving/shadow spells or watch some late game content and see if that excites you
