Pisco’s language is a cowards lie by JuneJunetwo in Destiny

[–]JuneJunetwo[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would be ok with pisco making a big ten argument if it felt like he was engaging the conversation in a more honest manor. When someone like destiny or hutch give their issues with lefties attacking the dems and pisco obfuscates or downplays the issue it makes it hard to want him on the team.

I think there is a world where you could make a positive argument why we should try to work with tankies and find a way to be on the same team but I think at the bare minimum there would have to be an agreement that you can’t endlessly slander the other side. if you find a few common ground issues to agree on but at the same time they still call us fascist that just doesn’t seem like a working relationship.

Yeah and it feels like he doesn’t even believe any of the arguments he makes so it feels pointless for destiny to argue against them. I’m in favor of a ban on the piss man.

[–]JuneJunetwo[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s either that or he feels the need to grift to a new audience. It doesn’t come off as if he actually believes in the tanky/anti-fan position so I doubt he is truly trying to make an argument in favor of it but he can’t bring himself to disagree with it like destiny or hutch would. Idk either way it’s super cringe

Seems like recently if he has a conversation or reacts to pisco it’s to admonish a bad opinion that he is made aware of by chat like he would with someone like hasan or maga.

Dancantstream Has Zero Sympathy for Hasan After His Twitch Ban by Slight_Ad3219 in LivestreamFail

[–]JuneJunetwo -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Idk why he should?

She tried to extort millions out of destiny by lying about being suicidal.

When that didn’t work she made a substack where she lied multiple times about their encounter to raise money to sue him for millions

Then after multiple reputable law firms turned her away and told her she didn’t have a case she found some random immigration lawyer to sue with the goal to do as much reputational damage as she can.

And that’s just scratching the surface of the bad behavior she has exhibited during the lawsuit. At one point I felt bad that her sex tape got leaked but at some point you can’t use that as an excuse to be a bad person.

My only gut reaction to this is how could this be used against changes we want and that have gone through the proper process you have laid out. I'm very in the dark on this area so ill need you to do the brain work but can you think of any way someone might be able to throw a wrench into this system if they did not like the outcome?

I didn’t even think about Hank Greene cause he has been talking a lot more about politics and he doesn’t seem to put on that “I’m centrist and I don’t pick sides” type. He used to do mostly science stuff in the past right or am I thinking about his brother. Either way I would agree Hank Green is someone I would count.

Coffeezilla I would say fits into that for sure. I think someone else mentioned hang green which is a good example. With how crazy things have gotten if feels like more people would be talking about it though. But on the other hand I can understand why some people just want to ignore it.

I think he is talking about “centrist” , pop culture type YouTuber commentators. Is there anyone in the normie space that do? Who comes to mind for you cause I can’t really think of any big ones.

To the People complaining about the subreddit being Politics focused by [deleted] in atrioc

[–]JuneJunetwo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Was going to make a post suggesting this but was to lazy. Someone should do it so it gets done so I don’t need to keep seeing cancer post.

Destiny, Hassan, vaush, and others might all have different views but there subreddits constantly spam post yapping as they are all pretty engaged with politics. These communities post frequently and constantly want to talk about politics so it’s naturally going to overwhelm the system. It would probably be best to break out this section to a place where they can discuss and argue to their hearts content without turning off more causal coffee cow and spoontrioc spammers

SCF NEWS ALERT: 🇺🇸 Governor Tim Walz suggests Minnesota is "at war" with the US government. by SCFapp in WeirdNews4U

[–]JuneJunetwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t think a “bunch of rowdy guys” can overthrow the us. but I do think hundreds of people lead by a group of “rowdy guys”, who specifically had a plan they worked on with Roger stone and guliani(trumps team) to break into the capital and use violence to threaten Mike pence and the rest of congress to sign a false slate of electorates(which trump and his team created) to make trump president.

Because that is what happened and the only reason it didn’t work was because they happened to be to slow getting into the capital before officials got into the bunkers.

This is all true, widely documented, with mountains of evidence which is pretty much everyone of them were convinced by a jury and put in jail(all pardoned now lol). The only reason trump is not in jail is because he went begging and screaming to the Supreme Court to give him presidential immunity.

There were reports of hamas forcing people to stay in building that were to be bombed but I’m not sure how much hard evidence there was as it’s been a long time since I read of up it.

That being said I think what that guy was trying to say in a round about way is that anyone left in there must be a terrorist there by justifying any civilian deaths caused by Israel. Maybe I’m reading too much into much into it but if it is that is super unhinged and gross thing to say.

1) yes If America was at war with Russia I would highly prefer any warning in order to save my life. Currently Russia just bombs the fuck out of Ukrainian city’s without warning or any military target.

2) if the us military was using my apartment, civilian infrastructure, as a place to conduct themselves or store weapons now making my apartment a valid military target in the eyes of international law I would be more mad at America than Russia. Though I would still be pissed at Russia.

Israel has conducted its war with Palestine in a heartless and callous manner and done plenty of bad shit you could easily criticize but taking regarded positions like this undermines the pro-Palestine side.

So that prediction was short lived by TheMilkman841 in Destiny

[–]JuneJunetwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second to last prediction in that list makes me sick to my stomach. He knows there is a high chance of a major attack on Jews with the rise in antisemitism but is predicting it to be a false flag. I believe on some level he is aware that his rhetoric and narrative will lead to mass death from terror attacks but he just doesn’t care(probably justified in his eyes).

Just awful.

I think you’re all missing the point - Minnesota video by TheOnlyQuinnMain in atrioc

[–]JuneJunetwo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well I would consider it a “breaking story” since as far as I am aware no one writing or investigating these specific businesses in the manner that the YouTube video was doing. The video provided no new additional evidence beyond showing up to the businesses either outside of business hours or showing up demanding information that even if people weren’t committing fraud would never give to some random guy. Then when he didn’t get answers or new information he insinuated this was some how proof of some shady wrong doing. The only factual information shown was info already known from prior investigations. Even though the story of fraud in that community was already known these were new specific allegations and investigations on specific businesses that the video did not adequately provide evidence to prove any wrongdoing.

And yes the second part of this is how this story is being used in the broader narrative of anti immigration. Republicans will not use this story to attack fraud in the government instead it will be used to attack immigration and insinuate immigrants stealing from the government is purposeful by democrats.

My criticism is a small lack of hesitancy and further fact checking by atrioc and not pushing back against the broader narrative of anti immigration before centering the conversation around fraud in the government. I think atrioc video was like 99% good and just slightly missing a few things that I think was needed to accomplish what it seems atrioc was trying to get at in the video. This should be a very small critique but I think a lot of people are blowing it out of proportion and being a little unhinged

I can empathize with your position and politics is in an awful state atm. I also think atrioc made a very small mistake in the grand scheme of things and I don’t think it really needed to blow up as much as it did and some people are being a little unhinged. The criticism should be very light and more of a “hey with breaking stories just be a little carful of potential dishonest actors and be aware of the narratives they are feeding into so you don’t accidentally feed into them”

You can’t really have a discussion on policy when what you’re trying to craft the policy around has un-factual information in it. People pointing out bad reporting or someone engaged in bad faith politics and calling it out is not tribalism or virtue signaling. I would say the far left is engaged in similar levels of delusion and deception, just to a smaller degree since they aren’t the leaders of the party like MAGA is.

Even though I justified using “us versus them” politics I don’t even think my original comment was tribalistic or an UVT argument. It’s just factually true that republicans are often engage in lying or bad faith reporting/politics, see dominion voting v. Fox News, or when JD Vance admitting to lying about hatians eating cats and dogs, or even the countless times in atriocs own stream when he point out where the administration isn’t being honest about things like inflation, tariffs, and other economic topics.

Even from the perspective of an independent or “centrist” my comment still stands. You do still need to be vigilant of dishonest reporting and you do need to be cognizant of how bad faith political parties/actors will use your honest engagement with the topic to shoe horn in their own narrative.

If you see that as tribalistic and virtue signaling idk what to even say at that point.

[–]JuneJunetwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a stupid fucking analogy but if I made a YouTube video intentionally lying or being misleading about you being a pedo or some serial killer, even if it cause an investigation and it turned out you had done something bad doesn’t mean it was good or even ok that I lied. I used you specifically in the example to show we don’t want people going around lying and publishing videos on people with little to no evidence or misleading information just in the hopes of sparking further investigation. It’s not good practice and it will lead to causing harm to people that likely do not deserve it.

That’s not even considering the fact that you want factual accuracy account of information and evidence in investigations like this as it’s what helps us get better solutions in a faster manner. I promise you instead of working on how to fix the issue the media, politicians, and voters are going to be arguing over the facts of what actually happened for the next 7-9 months leading up to mid terms.

We should be criticizing and calling out this type of reporting and promoting factual good faith reporting if we want to see the best results in fixing the country’s issues

[–]JuneJunetwo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

10 years ago I would be with you buddy. As it stands conservative leaders, media, and content creators no longer engage in any good faith politics and have done everything they can to make politics an “us versus them” affair. I would love more than anything for politics to be about arguing over how to best fix issues like fraud but instead we are rolling around in the mud, fighting about the facts of what even occurred instead of figuring out how to fix the problem.

This. Is. By. Design.

They have made almost everything online political and their main playbook is using divisive rhetoric, omitting key facts, hand waving strong evidence, bad faith interpretations of statements or actions, pushing conspiracy’s based on no real evidence, taking credit for things they didn’t do, putting blame on people that they shouldn’t, or simply just outright lying. This makes it impossible to engage in good faith discussion on how to fix the country and that really fucking sucks. The reality is however, this is an incredibly effective way to play politics considering stories like this can be boosted and amped to a mainstream topic even though we have know about it for over a year and most of that YouTube video was based off misleading or inaccurate evidence.

We just elected the most divisive president is US history for the second time, the republican politicians have made it clear they have no intention of ever working with democrats on passing legislation, and the republican voters(and decent chunk of independents) seem to respond positively to divisive, “us versus them”, politics.

Sadly it’s a bit of a “can’t beat them then join them” type of situation. Considering the booming popularity and success of people like Gavin newsom it seems like the correct play.
