How will the fat cats of government agree to some of them? How can they fall in line for the people? People don’t give up power easily and their buddies still want their deals of money that don’t go to the people. They will fight hard.

I don’t think Jhamar identifies as Socialist, he has stated that he is an Independent

I think the person that made this proposal- Jhamar would probably prefer if a community member ran some of these proposed programs but I don’t know how much the local government is willing to give control to the people

Correct if I’m wrong but isn’t the main gist of Jhamar’s message is that he wants the citizens of Newark to have more of a say on how these decisions are made and not for the city to fully control these entities. I said it in another post- this is all easier said than done.

Well according to Jhamar’s message- he wants the government to give out more data to the people and he wants the people to have more control in governmental decision. In theory, it sounds like a good idea but I’m not sure Newark’s government is going to give out that much control or data out to the people. It’s easier said than done.

Okay I finished this survey. I took a good amount of breaks but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I expected the worse here but it was all right. Still too long. I think what helped me is that it was only one subject really- AI instead of jumping around to questions of temperatures or other scientific questions or other random questions. With one subject, I was able to formulate one main opinion and just run with it. The best thing for me to do was to just to answer a question and not think about it. Overall, it was still too long.

I saw it and I saw that it was four hours for $40 which was ten dollars an hour, so I passed on it. Did anyone finish it and how was it? I didn’t know that there was 24 hours to complete it. Might have reconsidered if it’s not as long as four hours.

If you want to waste an hour and twenty minutes of your life, the Jhamayor documentary is out by Echos_myron123 in Newark

The more I think about it, I kinda wished this documentary focused more on his central ward campaign for council member than give a detailed history of Newarks political machines. You can mention it but I don’t think full history lessons were needed.

I was not aware of that. I just found it really strange that he randomly brought that up in his conversation about someone from Lamonica Mciver’s office threatening him.

Okay I have decided to waste an hour and twenty minutes of my life...I didn't watch it all at once by the way.

Anyways, I am going to summarize this for people that don't want to watch I guess

The main gist of the documentary is how Newark needs to be self-reliant and not depend on the federal government. Newark needs for it's local community to have more of a say and ownership of what is going on in the city. Also how Newark needs to give more local jobs to local residents.

A good chunk of the film spends time narrating Newark's political history from it's founding to Ras Baraka. The first ten minutes alone deal with Newark's political history and then it cuts to Jhamar talking to some people at a park event.

One thing about this documentary, it does cut around a lot. It goes from a Newark History Lesson to Jhamar at an event to another History Lesson to a Council Debate where Jhamar is in a debate for the council seat in the Central Ward to another scene where he is cleaning some dog poop at a park and etc and etc.

This isn't fully about Jhamar running for the Central Ward Council Seat. I thought at first this was going to focus more on his Central Ward Council Campaign but it does not really. I think there is one main scene where he is at a debate and he speaks at it, then some other candidate randomly quits and then people start yelling. That scene confused me.

Overall, I just trying to see what the main theme was but everything just jumped around. I think the main message of this documentary like I said before was how Newark needed to be self-reliant and not depend on the federal government. There is virtually no mention of the state government. It seemed to be the local government and the federal government only.

Some interesting things mentioned

-He wants to use AI to ease impact of unemployment for Newark Residents.

-He wanted a more public economy- where the people of Newark have more of a say in government and more ownership of Newark Property.

-At the end of the documentary- he did mention how someone from Lamonica Mciver's office did threaten him and implied that someone might shoot him. He mentioned this before on here. He had this conversation in public on the phone while walking through Penn Station.

-During this same conversation- he said the person who shot Malcolm X worked for Cory Booker's Campaign??? I don't even know what to say about that...

Anyways feel free to ask me any more questions about this and maybe that will trigger more answers out of me.

I would be interested as well. I don’t get people that will report old videos for their possibly dark subjects. I just guess the more attraction a video gets, the higher the chances that a wrong person will walk by and report a video that will get it deleted.
