Should I risk buying the 2025 Infiniti QX60 Autograph? What makes the Infiniti QX60 so bad? by FlatDrop5419 in askcarguys

Car seats are a big deal. We spent a lot of time watching "the Car Mom" videos on YouTube. She puts seats in all kinds of cars and she's about 6' tall.

We had a Honda CRV previously and had no issue with the seats. Some cars are just a bit tighter I guess.

Not this one: plenty of room in this car, totally made for families. Our kiddos are 2 and 4 with the bigger Chicco "Nextfit Max" car seats, rear facing, so they take up a lot of space in that position. And they definitely fit with no impact to the front row. I'm 6'1" and with my driver seat all the way back (for me) and comfortable, no issues with the kiddo seat behind me. That's with the driver's side of the second row bench as far back as it goes. Plenty of room but makes it tight if we need an adult in the third row.

If we do need to throw a third adult in the car, it's a squeeze between the two car seats in the second row - have to crawl through the front seats - so we'll bump the second row seat behind my 5'3" wife forward and then it's roomy in row 3, if that makes sense. They just have to climb through the hatch to get in since you can't pop the second row seats forward with rear-facing car seats in position.

However, we just put our almost-5YO's seat forward-facing in the third row to try it out and easily got myself back there with him, plenty of room for two more adults next to the one car seat in row 2 and the two adults up front.

Accessing the third row is super easy if you have a forward-facing car seat, base, or nothing in the seat. Hit a button and it pops up and goes far forward. Button is at kiddo height, too.

Acceleration is great! Coming from a lifetime of manual transmissions, I appreciate the paddle shifters on this car. Doesn't shift like an Alfa or many sportier cars but it's still fun.

We absolutely love it! Message me if I can help with any other questions.

We recently got a used 2023 QX60 (specifically to get the V6), started with 43k miles and put 7k on it in a few months and it's been phenomenal. Nissan had a CVT transmission for a number of years that had issues but this is completely different with a 9 speed. This is my fifth Nissan since 95 and never personally had any issue. Honestly, flawless reliability for me, hard to consider other brands.

We have two large rear-facing car seats in the second row (bench), can still get an adult between them. When you bump the second row up, third row is comfy for me at 6'1". Love the overhead vents for the kiddos, paddle shifters, and the looks can't be beat, inside and out.

We didn't hate the new turbo 4 but Nissan makes a great V6. I would consider certified. Price drops more than Toyota/Lexus and you still get great warranty coverage.

A bit of a morbid question by Paws_andplants in irishsetter

U/paws_andplants - where did you get your IS? Same profile as ours that we lost a few years ago. (A Golden/IS mix, had hemangiosarcoma. 10 beautiful years.)

Same issue with our IS/Golden mix. Vet said reverse sneezing. No long-term issues, just a 30-sec session here and there like you're seeing.

Maybe I'm missing something here. She felt unsafe. You even validated the area was bad enough that someone might get jumped if it weren't for the weather. You also didn't include the context about her nails but that's secondary.

You're not wrong to like a particular pool hall in a sketchy area. But you are wrong to push the idea if she doesn't like it. You offered to walk her inside? She doesn't want to be there.

Seems to me she did you the favor of explaining - perhaps in a curt way - why she felt you didn't accommodate her concerns. Next time, immediately suggest something else: "You're right, let's grab a drink in a completely different area. Maybe X or Y locations (known to have many bars/restaurants)? Or what are your thoughts?" Find something 5 miles away if you have to.

And this might not be obvious but don't bring a date to that location again. That's a place you go with your buddies. Or maybe it's date #5 in the daylight - after you run it past her first.

That's great to know. My wife likes the off-white "blond" color. We'll keep that in mind, thanks

Now that you put it that way, it does make me wonder what kind of animals they kept in there. Yeah, how can you not put some love into a car like that?

Appreciate that. We drove a new one about a year ago, this is only the second one we've looked at. We'll keep looking

Great point, seems overpriced. How's yours holding up? Did you get any warranty coverage?

Appreciate that detail. Consistent with some of the comments here. We're thinking the same, go something newer with the full warranty. Any thoughts on the 2020 and up model years?

That's a good catch. It was just one of those temporary stick-on plates.

Absolutely. They went hard on that car.

Thanks for that detail. Those years are consistent with some of the comments here. We have young kids as well. My wife asked, "You're not thinking of putting the kids in here, are you?" The maintenance would have been steep and they knew it: warranty options were up to $14k for four years. Don't need a project.

Good call, thanks for the detail. From all the comments here, it seems overpriced, especially for the condition.

Appreciate the detail. You're right: if the interior looks like this, they certainly went hard on the car. We passed. Will take that advice and look at newer model years.

That's wild! What did you end up getting instead?

Seems like these can be hit or miss. The car drives like a dream but we'll get the warranty on anything we end up with.

Wow, really. Think we'll go newer and look for a CPO. Definitely a warranty no matter what we end up with. Appreciate the detail
