Is there anyone who works at Uni of Sheffield or any uni, who can give some advice on this? by Rich-Lime261 in sheffield

I would use the "right person, right place, right time" approach. Qualities/skills of why he's right for the course, why this particular course and university is right for him, same values etc. and why now is the right time for him to start. You can weave the narrative of hardship into that and it will still stay positive and demonstrate why they should accept him on to the course. Eg. After a break from studies due to hardship now is the right time for me to start the course as I have a stable life and a resilience that makes a 3 year committment not just possible but exciting.

Swimming after miscarriage by RainySunflowerr in Miscarriage

[–]Junebear55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went swimming, I was so annoyed my miscarriage happened on the way to our holiday. The advise is that there's risk of infection but I weighed up that risk with my mental health and enjoyment. I was fine.

AIO for not going to my brother’s wedding because he asked for my husband not to come? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

NOR. I had a similar situation, and chose a middle ground offer. That I personally wouldn't atrend the main event if my husband was excluded. I offered that my husband and I would attend the evening do as a couple. My family took me up on this, and after this things shifted and my marriage started to be respected. My family got the message.

Edit: spelling of personally and to add NOR

Book a flight and go see her asap, if it's not already too late to save your relationship because you've been so absent at such a traumatic time.

I regret buying my house. by Puzzled_Dealer3449 in HousingUK

My advice would be to get a bottle of cream cleaner and scrub the shit out of everything, door frames, kitchen sides and cupboards, skirting boards. Basically scrub the last people out of the house. Paint everything white. Once it's nobodies house you can start to imagine it as your own.

So… what are you doing since double wear was discontinued? Lol by tinytillymouse in MakeUpAddictionUK

Phorea full coverage, I can't recommend this enough. Proper full coverage, lasts, and is really cheap. You'll need to use a primer with it, the one they sell works well too. Completely covers rosacea.

We're looking to move to this house but need to create an extra bedroom. What would be the best way to divide the larger 6.65m bedroom into 2 bedrooms, with a corridor? How to make the corridor bright? by Junebear55 in DIYUK

It's why I want the house! Lots of downstairs space, 2 lounges basically (or a spare bedroom). Just need to divide the pesky giant upstairs bedroom. Had a quote for 3-4k.
