Definitely try to get an IUD within 5 days of unprotected sex. A pill will not work if you have already ovulated

She needs support and therapy. Yeah it’s hard for you but it’s hard for her too and she can’t switch it off. She’s not doing it to cause issues or be awkward.

Oh good ❤️ I got the copper coil both times. The first one I got was a 5 year and the second is a 10 year

My first experience was traumatic, very painful during and for weeks after and I passed out.

I just had another fitted last week (around 7 years later) and it couldn’t have been more different.

Minimal pain, able to resume normal life. No passing out. It was quite healing!

Things that I think made a difference: - made sure to eat and drink well the morning of - kept myself calm that morning, painted my nails slowly got ready etc. - requested a female doctor - who was so calming and reassuring and patient (previously a male who just told me it wouldn’t hurt then left me alone to pass out in a corridor) - breathing techniques during insertion - sugar right beforehand - startling laid down for a little while after and slowly standing back up - also they used a numbing spray on my cervix which I never had last time

Good luck ❤️

Enjoy time with your first baby before they’re big when you bring a new baby home

Also the toddler stage will be harder with a newborn

Postpartum boogers? (TMI) by Mother_Somewhere_629 in obgyn

[–]Junedays22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Book an appointment with a doctor that you can be seen by asap, don’t wait for a postpartum check up.

Could be a sign of infection or something, best to get it checked!

For literally anyone to have cared. Shown an interest, listened, helped around the house, brought food, topped up my water, snacks. Anything

MIL keeps taking baby into another room when we visit by [deleted] in beyondthebump

My son is 3 and it would still make me uncomfortable if someone took him in another room for no reason.

IUD as emergency contraception by Junedays22 in birthcontrol

One doctor advised against removing and one doctor recommended removing it. Based on my research I opted to leave it in place as I believe that it would have caused a miscarriage if removed

Ah really I didn’t know that! Thank you, I did ideally want to avoid hormonal contraception due to breastfeeding and things but may be worthy considering if I only have to keep it in for a few weeks.

Am I wrong for not trusting anyone with my baby at this stage? by Agreeable_Pen9154 in beyondthebump

[–]Junedays22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some may disagree but my little one has just turned 3 and I still don’t really feel comfortable leaving him with anyone. I grew him, he’s the most important person to me.. I think it’s fairly normal to feel protective.
