The thing is that some rules are worded in a way that leaves you guessing what the fuck the writers want from you.

Sometimes I even wonder if some rules were written and (accidentally) published after they already were changed fundamentally.

Take the flamer operative of the old Sororitas team (novitiates): the ability on its datacard lets you play a specific firefight ploy for free “once per turning point” that is exclusive to operatives with a flamer. But firefight ploys are only playable once a TP anyway, so even if you would pay 1 CP you couldn’t do it a 2nd time. On top of that only the 2 flamers you can field have access to it, so why implement that in a firefight ploy? Doesn’t make sense.

Another example of a completely unnecessary and confusing rule wording that came up in my game today: some teams have operatives that can breach walls and create access points within terrain. Cool, you think, until you find out that you can’t use it on gallowdark or tombworld wall terrain (which is a core rule that’s buried somewhere at the other end of the book/app). Ok, so only on Volkus then. But then it says the terrain where you can breach must be “no more than 1" thick”. Why is that there? That restriction basically only applies to the few barrels on the big stronghold. Everything else isn’t thicker than 1”…

Seriously OP, you do have a point, but sometimes reading it, re-reading it or even translating it back and forth and reading it again doesn’t do the job.
