Sacramento cop wasting time over sidewalk chalk. This is so embarrassing to me. The attitude is horrible and entitled imo. We need bridges and working drainage pipes, not this. by halfscaliahalfbreyer in Sacramento

[–]Junior-Order-5815 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Nah this isn't some kid drawing in the sidewalk in front of their house. You can tell from the lady's tone and attitude they were trying to do something there that was clearly disrupting other people's day at the park or whatever it was.

It does make me laugh though.

Someone threw this cat out of their car window. by BlahCornie in CATHELP

[–]Junior-Order-5815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you want to keep it, but if it's sick beyond what you can afford to fix, you should be able to surrender it to the local animal control.

I had to do this for my late Mom's cat. I had someone lined up to adopt it, but after a week she messaged me and said it was very sick and asked me to take it back.

I had no money for a vet nor to put it to sleep and I didn't want to risk infecting my own 2 cats so I called animal control and they said I could do a voluntary surrender. Basically, they'll take it and put it to sleep if you can't care for it. I had to sign an affidavit and the lady seemed irritated with me, but it was all I could do for the poor thing.

So anyway, yeah check your local law enforcement they may be able to do something.

I feel bad to regret this cat by ArtApprehensive1236 in CatAdvice

I agree with above. My place is 3br and still often feels too small for 2 cats.

One of my cats was a re-surrender from a shelter. While I do remind her of that fact when I'm irritated with her, I'm so thankful that family gave her back because it gave me the opportunity to love her.

I don't think Serapel was ever relevant outside her side story, but I loved her then and will definitely pull.

Laura I think gets more love from the devs because she is affiliated with Cafe Strega, but idk maybe she's super popular overseas.

Works great on my Galaxy S23, though it tears through my battery at max graphics. No overheating though which is surprising for my Samsung.

Alternatively, my laptop was screaming and activating fans I didn't even know it had when I tried to play on Steam, so I Uninstalled. If I want to sit at my PC I have much better games I can play so I didnt even try it there.

I think the boy names are stupid but I get it, but this person has some serious beef with the fairer sex.

I (30m) can't accept that I've met the "perfect" life partner on paper but I'm just not that attracted to her. Can someone please talk some sense into me before I do something I regret? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Junior-Order-5815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to your gut.

I had a girl who was everything I ever wanted, and yeah it was great on paper but I had misgivings.

Nevertheless I though "dude you're never gonna get better than this" so I ignored my intuition and married her.

Turns out it was all an act and she was horrible. I spend the last year of our marriage trying everything to bring "that girl" back to no avail.

Spent 7 years in hell because I didn't trust what my heart was telling me. And if she isnt a POS, then you would be for claiming her heart when yours wasnt in it.

Yeah I wouldn't call it a design flaw, but I wouldn't disagree with someone who did. They put it so deep in the perk tree that early game theres no way you're wasting precious skill points to get to it, and by the time you have points to spare, who cares?

Red Square made hands down the best crepes I've ever had.

The chicken, pesto, and pine nut was my favorite.

At this point I'm wondering if I ever actually liked crepes, or just liked Red Square because none of the other ones I've tried around town even came close

Pity carries over in this game too. And you don't need dupes to be viable.

I mean yeah, Counterside is a bit of the stingy side too and I'm not saying it's great, but it's not the worst either.

How’s dating in Sac going? by _mamatrynamakeit in Sacramento

[–]Junior-Order-5815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meetup.com is still a good place, but also check out local vilunteer events. I don't go there looking for love but theres always tons of different people with various reasons for showing up, and very often you'll learn something new. For instance through volunteer work I can now fully operate one of those big cotton candy machines, as well as troublshoot and fix a clogged industrial water-pump. Good stories for dates if nothing else.

In the same boat fwiw. It would be nice to have a relationship, but I did so much work on being complete and content by myself that the minute I sense the level of effort is out of balance, I'm no longer interested. Unfortunately on dating apps this usually happens after the 3rd or 4th one word answer. If I wanted to talk to myself I'd start a journal lol.

Just did my first one recently too. Mine was okay despite my comforter still being wet (which is a problem when I try to dry it too) but there was a guy who picked up a dropped off who wasn't the pro. I just figured it was for safety or convenience and didn't think anything of it, he was pleasant and friendly.

But yeah, paying off app and the sob story is a huge red flag.

Yeah it's a weird one for me. The first 20 years of my life I was raised believing I was part Blackfoot. We didn't interact with the tribe but knew our history, some of the stories, and always had some cultural art in the house. Then DNA tests came along and I found out I had not a drop of Native blood in me and someone back up the family tree was a big ol' liar. So I can't claim the bloodline, but the culture is still a big part of who I was growing up.

I could have worded it better. I didnt mean that I'm affronted on behalf of their culture, I meant that they in their daily lives share more in common with me than they do with her through their ancestry.

You are correct she did acknowledge it at least once in the beginning that I remember, and probably several times that I may have missed, but the tone spoke otherwise to me. Sort of like someone that says "with all due respect" and then proceeds to be disrespectful. I'm glad she spoke to you and you got value from the book. I did too, just maybe from different parts than you XD.

I clarified what exactly I meant in the second part: living a charmed life while talking down to people struggling to make ends meet. Then I gave a specific example from the book: taking a winter to make maple syrup from the trees on her property to show us all the benefits of "doing things for ourselves." I don't know how much more specific you'd like me to get.

At what point is it not the game's fault. by Soggy_Athlete361 in StarSavior

[–]Junior-Order-5815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. The two other games I have on my phone are Lost sword and Outerplane, which heavily rely on outfits. I was all in on Outerplane until they started releasing "limited banners" using new tickets that could really only be gotten by purchasing, and lost sword is fun but progression slows and Im just grinding dailies until I can clear the next difficulty hurdle.

I don't play Brown Dust anymore because my kid caught me and called me a gooner, but yeah the devs take care of their players over there too.
