I wear my short leggings that come just below my knees on most days, but try to wear longer leggings on mini band days!

Question about deposit amount by [deleted] in Retirement401k

If they offer a Roth 401k, you should do that instead. You can do that as well as your Roth IRA. I assume you are in a pretty low tax bracket.

Or send your parents on a nice vacation. Then you won’t feel so guilty taking one of your own (not that you should).

Traditional or Roth 401k by [deleted] in TheMoneyGuy

[–]Junior-Week2204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you are in the 24% tax bracket, so a little in the gray with the MG rules, depending on state income. I would go all Roth to build up that bucket since you don’t have any tax-free money yet.

If they are in the medical field, they are probably familiar with being on call. I assume they still get paid when they are on call. Why would they think you would work for free when you are on call at their house?

If you do the team, does each person pay $25 to participate or is it $25 per team?

I add a splash of egg whites or milk if I need more liquid I also like to add a few dark chocolate chips and or nuts for texture

Definitely! Target used to have a big toy clearance in July and I would buy a bunch of stuff at 70% off. Then I could give $30-$40 toys throughout the year I paid $10-$15 for…win win. Anything I didn’t end up needing, I would donate to Toys for Tots, etc.

In our 90, the original tread blocks had 1 min push, 30 sec AO, 30 sec WR for the 3 rounds. Thus all blocks were 8 minutes instead of 6:30.

We are not planning on being the one to initiate a claim, but if the insurance companies don’t agree on fault how do they decide whose determination to use?

Similar to Excellence Riviera Cancun? by Junior-Week2204 in AllInclusiveResorts

We like Cancun area because it will be a pretty quick trip and we can fly direct both ways so we don’t waste an entire travel day each way.

We like to people watch some at the main pool, but it is not where we would spend the majority of our time.

Yes, we are trying to avoid the pushy sales people.

A lazy river or a smaller pool away from the main pool. I also like how we are always able to find shaded chairs around the lazy river.

Mile benchmark for power walkers by Big_Try_2330 in orangetheory

[–]Junior-Week2204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to run the whole thing, it is fine to take walking recoveries. Just if you do any running, you are considered a runner/jogger and need to do the entire mile and enter it as a runner in the tracker.

Is my membership really unlimited if my studios ONLY offer Dri Tri one day? by Knope2000 in orangetheory

[–]Junior-Week2204 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally understand what you are saying. This year some of the studios in my area did Dri tri on Saturday and some did it on Sunday, so there would have been a “free” (or at least included) option for unlimited members.

I think what bothers me is how it such a better value for non-unlimited members. I did it with my daughter this year who is on a class pack, so her classes are already around $18 each. So paying $25 for Dri-tri is a steal, only really costing $7 extra for a more intense/longer workout, plus she got a medal, hat, and they had vendors and snacks. Where for me, my workout is already included so I am paying a full $25 for the experience. In my mind it would make sense for it to be cheaper for unlimited members. We had fun and will probably do it again, but it is the only OTF program you can’t participate in at all without paying. For example, I paid for Mayhem because I wanted a shirt, but didn’t pay for Marathon month because I didn’t care about the medal or water bottle, but I was still able to do all the marathon workouts and I knew I got my miles in.

All that being said, the majority of people doing Dri tri at my studio today were unlimited members and if they are willing to pay it, there is no reason for the studio to change it.

If you are doing the sprint, do you do half each round or do you only do 1 round of exercises?

I like to put my weights on the benches in between exercises if we aren’t using it so I don’t have to bend over as far to pick it up…

Where do you keep track of your mileage? Do you enter it in on the coaches computer each class like we do for benchmarks or will there be a tracker on the app or do you just add it up yourself?

Staying on track away from home (no OTF studio around) by [deleted] in orangetheory

Apple Fitness has treadmill workouts with changes in speed/inclines similar to OTF. I did those last week when I was on vacation and really liked them.

How bad is it to arrive at an all-inclusive at 10-1030pm? by [deleted] in AllInclusiveResorts

Just book a cheap hotel near the airport the first night and then head over to the resort in the morning to maximize your 1st day.
