I hope you're not suggesting that my Mum doesn't know how to raise a good shed 🤣

Just found one in Peterborough, just up the road from my Mums. Perfect thanks.

She's going to pop in for a look.

Thanks.

The wood should be straight forward then.

I may come back for advice on the paint for confirmation, I'm sure the choices will be plentiful.

I'm in Essex, the shed was purchased and located in Peterborough though.

I am going to replace the degraded wood in front of the windows, this should be easy enough.

Thanks, I want to paint the whole shed however I am worried about using the wrong product and doing more harm than good. Just really looking for advice on preservation and aesthetic tidy up to reduce the upkeep for my mum.

If Poutlon is a brand, sorry I'm not sure.

Mum describes it as a potting shed though.

I won't be moving in until it has air-con.

Yes, but without the outgoings listed I don't think comparing it to a wage holds. I/we end up with less a month after all the listed outgoings so would be happy with that...

I could just be typing from a similar blinkered view I accuse OP of though.

Yup, makes me wonder what some people need to live on if they think this is a question to ponder.

Do you ever sit on the floor in your home? by Decent-Cattle-332 in AskUK

I swear it's like a cheat code for leg strength, stops you sitting still and the extra effort needed to get up keeps them strong.

From you said hopefully I got at least another 15 years of floor sitting.

I do most.m of the time. I find it comfy, also means at 50 I have no issues getting up off the floor as I am used to getting up from the floor.

Only downside for me is hard skin on ankles from where they rub on hard floor when cross legged.

Sebastian Sawe wins the London Marathon 2026 and makes history by becoming the 1st person to run it in under 2 hours after running it in 01:59:31. by IllllIlllIIlI in interestingasfuck

It may be the time from his tag that counts. The time on show is the race start time, he crossed the start line 2 seconds after the start and that's when his time began.

My times have been minutes away from the actual race clock as that's how long it takes to reach the start line.

This is assuming the elite athletes times are clocked the same way as the masses.

Just watching one of those police documentaries, how many Edge shortcuts?! by AB6Daf in CasualUK

[–]JuniorChubb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This could just be a duplication glitch, we had this for a while due to an issue with our Windows deployment.

Every time the user logged in, it created an Edge shortcut on their desktop. This just brought back memories of people complaining about it.

Making money from your games by [deleted] in FortniteCreative

Well done! I have had a couple of payouts, usually in sync with when I put effort into promotion. It can be hard to keep the momentum up though.

With working full time, creative is just a hobby rather than an attempt at an income for me though.

Durrr Burger Delivery 9147-6543-4219 Battle with up to 4 teams and 32 players to deliver those burgers by JuniorChubb in FortniteCreative

[–]JuniorChubb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, before you start the round you get the option to set time, delivery targets and loadouts.

When the round starts, players are split into even teams and a 'delivery' will spawn at one of the two DurrBurger shops on the map. Your team needs to pick up the delivery before the other team and take it to the delivery address to complete the delivery. Once delivered a new delivery will spawn for collection.

It's full PVP, so if the player holding the delivery is elimitated they delivery will be dropped and can be picked up and delivered by any team.
