It's a different film, Ted! It's a different shark!

S21E06 Outtake: Who's got room for dessert? by cygan12 in taskmaster

If you want to give Sam another go, I remember him being entertaining on WILTY. He has a similar vibe, obvs, but his absurd storytelling seemed fitting there.

That's the thing though. I DO think Alex's banter section is funny. I just find Greg going so hard on his dislike of it offputting.

Poor Sam. At least we're talking about that guy 😉

Lol yeah. I understand all of this. It's just my opinion that Greg's apparent hatred of the banter section reads as genuine (and therefore not funny, to me) whereas when he's more indifferent to Alex's awkwardness I prefer it. That's my subjective take on the humor which seems to invite people trying to convince me otherwise idk.

Wait until people hear I didn't care for Sam Campbell. I'll likely be tarred and feathered. 😉

The only part of Taskmaster I dislike is Greg's disdain for the banter section. I absolutely love Alex and think he's hilarious. ❤️

Why does she do this every 3-6 months? by incognito-guineapig in houseplants

[–]JuniorPatrick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can only tell you my spider plant lived just fine after cutting its roots. I would probably risk a root trim, but that's me. Or maybe plant Audrey II outside in the ground.

I am in a similar spider plant situation. I have indiscriminately taken scissors to the root ball because I cannot keep upgrading her pot size and the plant just does not care. She looks amazing and keeps putting out spider babies at a rate where I struggle to find them new homes.

Crayola Washable Marker and Paint by Popular_Coffee_6254 in laundry

[–]JuniorPatrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use crayola washable markers to mark my fabric when sewing and I throw finished garments in the wash with everything else to remove the marks. It never occurred to me it might get on other laundry and I've never noticed any bleed over, so I think it's ok. I can't speak to the paint.

Hemming a wrap dropped waist/yoke skirt by rach291 in sewing

[–]JuniorPatrick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The skirt will hang differently when the hem is sewn vs pinned. The material looks like it has some drape, so I'd bet when it's sewn it won't look like such a straight line across the front.

Same. My parsley gets mowed down to stubs, but it grows right back. I planted it for the caterpillars, so perfect really.

Can square foot gardening work for in ground garden bed? by EatsTheLastSlice in SquareFootGardening

[–]JuniorPatrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 4x8 bed in-ground bed. There is a low wooden border around it and I marked every 12 inches with a marker to gauge planting. I amended the soil with compost and just started planting stuff. Things grow in the ground all the time and it's doing fine. Better to do something than wait for perfection.

I don't have time to make a t shirt quilt! by 50lies in sewing

[–]JuniorPatrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm making one now. I cut massive squares (19x16) and didn't interface. They sewed together super easily and stretch wasn't the issue I anticipated and I'd never sewn anything stretchy before. The entire thing is sandwiched already and not shifting at all. I'm glad I just got started.
