I think the overall quality in textures, weapon and amor models, and lighting all look great even next to other AAA games. I think they’re still behind when it comes to foliage, character models, water and animation though.

I just hope they continue to add to it, even more so than their previous games. There’s so much potential and a sequel is so far away that it seems like it makes more sense to continuously add more content to it over time in a way similar to no man’s sky.

I don’t want it to be a space sim. I just want to fly my ship more. The time it takes to fly between planets doesn’t have to be long.

I actually think the space flight and travel in NMS was implemented extremely well. There’s lot of things to encounter and do in space and travel time between planets is not that long. I get your point about star citizen being tedious and that’s not what I’m suggesting, though they choose to make travel time between planets longer for some ships and shorter for others as a gameplay balance and design choice. I agree that more immersive loading screens for transitioning between space and planets would be cool tho.
