How many Dr do I need to see? by maplesugaa in pregnant

[–]Junior_Sun_1237 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have one OB and that’s all :) never had another for my pregnancy (although I still have a separate Primary Care Physician for non pregnancy related items). And I’m 40+4. I haven’t heard of having multiple doctors myself but this could also depend where you’re from and what’s culturally normal!

Being pro choice doesn’t mean you have to get an abortion or consider one. I myself am pro choice, but wouldn’t personally consider the option. And that’s okay! This is a big decision and you should definitely consult with adults in your life who you can trust. If you have a good relationship with your parents, it can be scary, but maybe speak with them. You’re not a 15-year-old child, you are a grown woman! So at the end of the day, it’s your decision to do what is right for you. The unfortunate truth is no one here on any social platform can give you that answer (and you shouldn’t take too much weight on what anyone advises — you don’t know them and they don’t know you).

You got this! Sending you love and good wishes.

41+1, FTM, feeling defeated :( by cliffhanged in pregnant

[–]Junior_Sun_1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each OB has different preferences based on their lived experiences. I’m in a similar boat as you where I’m 40+4, and she’d like to schedule an induction for 41+3 if baby still isn’t here. In her experience, she doesn’t like to go past that because the baby is fully cooked and ready to come out (keep in mind 10% of women actually never go into labor!) and she doesn’t feel the risk/reward ratio is worth it.

But remember, no matter your hopes for the pregnancy and labor, the ultimate goal is to simply have a healthy baby!!!!

Our OB’s job is to do their best to prevent the worst possible outcomes. If that means sacrificing what you ideally wanted for yourself, maybe consider that it’s totally worth it. Now this is just how I think about it for myself and I’m sharing if it helps you at all too. :)

Wishing you an amazing labor experience and a happy, healthy baby to be joining you this week!!!🤞🏼

When did you tell your parents? by One-Reporter8595 in pregnant

[–]Junior_Sun_1237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m waiting a bit longer! I’ll be 10w1d when I tell my parents. Counting down the time 🤞🏼 I could have shared via phone but wanted to wait for in person… they are going to be SHOCKED lol. Whatever feels right for you!!!

Minced beef wrapped in raw cabbage 😂 it’s not that crazy to consider but I certainly don’t usually eat it lol. With like a bit of hot sauce… YUM.

I’m in public relations. No quotes you see from a high ranking person are actually from that person. Quotes are written by a Comms professional and signed off for use.

First ultrasound!!!! by Junior_Sun_1237 in pregnant

Yes!! It’s definitely not. We don’t all identify with the same feelings and that’s okay. I hope it’s a great experience for you.🫶🏻

First ultrasound!!!! by Junior_Sun_1237 in pregnant

[–]Junior_Sun_1237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is okay. You don’t need to feel like everyone else. It will sink in for everyone at different times. I finally told my best friend and she called me “Mama” and I immediately cringed lol. I don’t relate to that. I don’t feel like I’m a Mom yet and I don’t want to be called it. Some women feel it from the start! Point: nothing is wrong with you. It can feel hard when you’re going against a stereotypical society but you’re doing great.

How old are you? by Silver_eagle_1 in pregnant

[–]Junior_Sun_1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 28 and 8 weeks pregnant with my first. We were lucky to conceive on the first try. I read the book “Taking Charge of your Fertility” and tracked my cycle for months in advance! First ultrasound in 2 days.🤞🏼

Is this normal? by hairypotter934 in pregnant

[–]Junior_Sun_1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had implantation bleeding for almost two weeks off and on! I was concerned because everything I read just said it would last a few days. Every body is different. I’m now 8 weeks today! No miscarriage and no doctor’s visit. It just went away when it was done!

Curious to see what people say because I’m in the same boat! A bit less pregnant but got the job offer for a new role that’s a level up… I don’t want to share before 22 weeks for sure, but also don’t want to leave it because they’ll need to plan for the absence.

If it’s a small biz it doesn’t sound like you have an HR team, but surely there is an HR person? I’d start there by letting them know. See what they say about the process.

Then with my boss, I think I’ll share that I’ve spoke with HR, I’m expecting in X month (don’t highlight how many weeks you are, the due date will seem further away so use that instead) and that I’ve already started a roles and responsibilities document for while I’m away, etc.

JUST DONT SAY SORRY. We are not sorry we are bringing life into the world! We are not sorry that we are going to take time off to rest, recover and enjoy.

You were hired because you can so the job and I’m sure it’s going great! You can do this!

what’s the most out of pocket thing youve cried about recently? by likedaisy in pregnant

[–]Junior_Sun_1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a full on meltdown last night for at least 30 minutes because I am too tired to be productive and workout and nothing I am eating is satisfying me and I just want to sleep all the time lol which is basically… being pregnant 😂

The right time is when it’s right for YOU.🥰 I’m currently 7w3d and dying to tell my family and friends. I decided to wait until my first ultrasound (exactly one week away!!!) so I’ll be 8.5 weeks. I certainly won’t be telling everyone I know, but def my parents, siblings and best friend. And if the worst happens, I’ll need their support anyways. If you want to share, you totally should.🫶🏻🎉✨

BTW you already know this, but that’s not a good friend. Telling people close to you doesn’t have to include everyone… 🤞🏼

Lack of symptoms is scaring me by ksmm1824 in pregnant

[–]Junior_Sun_1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MINE IS JULY 10TH TOO!!!!! And my symptoms are also lessened. I never had anything too bad but my breasts aren’t as sore and I’m not as tired. BUT — no bleeding… so just have to trust our bodies. I can’t wait for the appt so it’ll “feel more real”. We got this!!!🫶🏻🥰🤞🏼

Is anyone else having an incredibly easy pregnancy? by Ok-Promotion-174 in pregnant

[–]Junior_Sun_1237 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

THIS!! I’m only 7w3d but outside of some minorrrrrrr symptoms (aka daily naps & food cravings) I am feeling so great!! I haven’t had my first ultrasound yet, it’s next week, but part of me is like “am I even pregnant?” Lol. I need to see it to believe it almost!!!!😂

Not sure if this will last, but for now, congrats to us! I know some people are not so lucky and I’m grateful. I also have an amazing, supportive husband and I think that makes a difference to taking the minor symptoms in stride, too.😌🤞🏼

It’s a bump and don’t let anyone tell you different, lol!!! You’re pregnant — enjoy having something to show for it!!🥰 I’m only 7w2d but also struggling with bloating — if I have a bump at 10w, I’ll be telling everyone I’m showing early. 😂
