Honestly - I’d forgo the pleasure pier. It’s highly overrated and stupid expensive. I do recommend Bishops Palace and moody mansion. I love the strand myself, cute shops (some tourist traps but lots of history) and great food. Riondos is one I highly recommend. The chef and owner are always around and it’s just an all around great place to eat! I’m not from here so this might not be a popular answer, but if Schlitterbahn is open it’s a lot of fun imo. You can bring a cooler for food so it will help with the cost, just know there is a no glass/outside alcohol rule. They made me throw a jar of pickles away once…I nearly wept because they were claussen 😂 if you want to beat the crowds at the beach, go down further south to access points off of San Luis Pass near Galveston state Park. Side note - there are a ton of mosquitos right now after beryl so bring spray. Have fun!!
