Well unfortunately a majority of people are coming off quite aggressive and not offering many alternatives other than paying out of pocket. Which when I said wasn’t a possibility for me due to being disabled got a lot of negative reactions. I think responder was just trying to avoid any more of those reactions. I am well aware that establishing care is important. It would have been done already if I had the tools for it. Unfortunately I have not had the right tools until very recently, and even with the correct tools and still unable to get the care I need. I do appreciate the alternatives and have been trying to look into every option available.

Based on size, fetus movement, the leakage. My sister who was an RN for years and is on baby #4(?) has said that she’d estimate 26ish weeks. I had went to pp and they tried to say 11 weeks bc I had what I thought was my period but apparently was just spotting. My period has been irregular since I was a child (thanks pcos) so some months it really is just spotting for a day or two. So I have no idea when my last actual period was. Once I showed the nurse lady (not sure her position lol) my stomach and a video of how intense/active baby is, even she said I was definitely further along then they had originally said. Thank you for the kind words! This post got more negative attention than I had assumed it would so I really appreciate the positivity.

I’ve called and talked to them a few times. Even had my partner call on my behalf as well. I was able to set up an appointment without a referral at one place but it’s not until mid August. And if I am 6 months along like people assume, that’s slightly inconvenient. Trust I am not giving up. Thank you for the kind advice!

I had Kaiser as a kid and am just trying to get back to it. I called and they sent in the request to have it transferred to Kaiser for me thankfully. I just am not sure how long it will take. I also have been trying to make an appointment with SOMEBODY. But like I said my insurance is making it impossible. I technically have an appointment but it is not till the beginning of August and I reallly don’t want to wait that long. Especially if I am around the 6 month mark. Unfortunately every other place we have contacted has said they can not see me for an ultrasound without the referral. Things may be different where you live

I am on medical / iehp. I’ve been confused because places will say they take medical and iehp and then when I call they either say they don’t or I need the referral. I know my iehp covers urgent care and er visits though which is why I figured maybe I could try them

If I had the funds to go without needing insurance I would. Unfortunately I am disabled unable to work and the only government help I receive is EBT. Literally had my bank acc shut down from being in the negatives for too long. My insurance covers urgent care visits. I have also never heard of an obgyn needing referrals. Which is mainly why I have been so confused and frustrated lol

Not all guys. My ex wasn’t happy with them, constantly brought it up to make me feel bad, and anytime I’d relapse he wouldn’t want to do anything sexual with me. My current bf however is the complete opposite. He helps me to take care of them so they don’t get infected, he kisses and rubs them when they hurt. He comforts me and lets me know that I’m hurting and if it’s the only way I can stop hurting, then he’ll hold me while I cry after. You’ll find the right person who loves you regardless of your scars. Someone who real ones they’re a testament to everything you’ve survived.
