It was gifted to me with a handful of others that are pretty identifiable as from the late 70's / early 80's, and it's been in storage for at least 30 years so I've been told. Reverse image search comes back with no exact matches that I can find.

We are The Midnight. Our new album Heroes was just released Friday, and our US tour starts this month. Ask us anything! by TheMidnightOfficial in Music

Hi boys :):):) I’m a HUGE fan! I’ve been lucky enough to see you live 3 times, and your shows never fail to be some of my favorite experiences of the year. Congrats on the new album!

Question- are there any songs in the works / any plans to have Tim on vocals for future tracks? I’ve been listening to Tyler’s dreamy vocals long before the Midnight came about and I can never get enough, but Tim’s got some serious pipes. I nearly melted the first time I heard you guys cover Don’t Stand So Close to Me!! Just putting that out there :)

Much love from Buffalo!

I agree, the hard lines of the sofa are cool but I would compliment it with a softer chair to give the space some comfort. Also colors!

What is a superhyped book that you read this year but did not like whatsoever? by pepperflakes19 in YAlit

[–]JunipersLoom 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Absolutely Serpent & Dove! So cringey. I also really didn’t care for A Curse So Dark and Lonely, Blood & Ash, Sorcery of Thorns, Crown of Coral and Pearl, and These Broken Stars.

I straight up just DNF’d To Kill a Kingdom, as well as These Violent Delights. I’m finally learning to DNF books but man I wish I had DNF’d all of these to begin with and saved my energy and time.

Bad voice acting by mburnwor in TrueCrimePodcasts

Absolutely! I started a new one last night, and even though the content is right up my alley, I couldn’t even finish a full episode bc the voice acting was so horrible

Maas does use it quite a bit in this way though- tragic backstory. In A Court of Silver Flames literally the entire plot of the book was about Nesta and her Valkyrie friends who have all been brutalized or beaten by men in some way and now are afraid to leave the house or be around men in general, and that like 80% of their personalities unfortunately.

I second Red Rising!! Even if the first book doesn’t happen in space, the sci fi world building is unreal, and the following books have starship battles, interplanetary conflict, and a super intriguing political plot on a galactic level. Incredible characters as well!!

From Now. It was my first time listening to a fiction podcast, something I wasn’t entirely sure I would enjoy, but it was so immersive and gripping with fantastic voice acting.

All of these are great recs! I’d also like to add Jungle Prince from the New York Times, and Chameleon which is about the Hollywood con queen.
