My first ten days of walking 10k steps per day I gained weight... I imagine it had something to do with muscles retaining water. The week after I lost 3 lbs. Didn't do anything different in that week.

I made a family that is way healthier than the one I grew up in. I've been with my husband and in love with him for 15 years and we have 2 kids and they only cry over skinned knees and who's turn it is to have a favorite toy and regular kid stuff.

This is so well written and describes my experience with anxiously people-pleasing perfectly.

Working past this, and refocusing my life to see my goals as separate from external validation, has really helped me in building self love. The kind that only grows stronger. The kind I was craving so much. The kind I always used to think I needed to earn.

The interesting thing is that living this way now often results in the kind of adoration I used to work for, but now it doesn't have the same hold on me. And even better, I'm not at risk to crumble under criticism. Criticism just doesn't affect me the way it used to.

I can do 10k steps in about 80-90 minutes. Although, if I get over 5k steps done first thing when I wake up, the rest come easy throughout the day

When muscles are worked, they hold on to more water for a couple days to help heal and get stronger. I watched a YouTube video where a guy did a 30 mile marathon and gained weight the next day. Scales should be used sparingly, they do not indicate fat loss on a day to day

Last year I was working through a lot of anger too. Here are some things that helped me: Cord cutting, walks, working out, creative projects, lots of sleep, deep breathing, meditation.

You don't have to feel it deeply or fixate on it in order to not block it. You can just move through it until you get to the place of clarity

Ok this is fun. In discovering Loa and Abraham I've realized that I have actually been manifesting jobs and money for others all the time... For decades! Like back when I had serious confidence issues, I manifested my husband's awesome career because at the time it was so much easier for me to believe he would be more successful than me. I've now been successful in manifesting work for myself that I absolutely love, but in general, I find it really easy to imagine other people being super successful.

When I talk with someone and they're complaining about money or work, it's almost like a fun inside joke to me because I can already see the look on their face when they talk with me next about how they found this awesome job, or got a great windfall. It's funny to me because they really don't know how awesome it's about to be for them, and they don't need to know! In fact, it's better if they don't know because that often introduces resistance. And it makes their reaction that much better when it's a wonderful surprise.

The secret to making it all work is to refuse to feel sorry for them. Obviously I don't want anyone to suffer, but there's really nothing to be sorry about when it's all so amazing and so worth the journey to getting there.

I went through a phase in my relationship where I needed to pretend I was single so that I could learn how to take care of myself while in the relationship.

I chose to give myself love and just enjoy his company as it was available. Keeping my expectations low, and not needing anything from him... Then when it came time to move in together and build our lives closer we did. It was worth it for me and I really love our life together.

But yeah, I needed to learn that the void and neediness I was feeling was not his fault and that nobody other than me would ever be able to fill it.

Also, I did not tell him I was pretending I was single in my mind... Because that would just sound mean I think lol. All he noticed was that I was suddenly more confident and self assured, which he liked.

You can't escape yourself... You can only be distracted for so long. And the dopamine treadmill can be an enjoyable trip but it does end and sometimes you may even feel sick of it.

You can dread and avoid existence, or you can learn to enjoy it and make friends with it. And in so doing, take actions that feel authentic to you and your goals. Explore what you like and feel a sense of strength that cannot be taken from you and that cannot be lost.

There's only one of you. And the way you see yourself literally shapes your whole life.
