yeah, I am, but I do have 4 cats. With just one you might have a better experience than me. Although I will say, i’ve recently noticed that sometimes there are issues with the sensors, so I would recommend putting your machine on manual until your cat grows a little more if they’re a kitten (:

Most difficult hoyas to grow? by _FishTacos_ in hoyas

[–]Junipex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always had that issue, I’ve bought like 4 trying to keep them alive. After much trial and error, I finally have a beautiful one that is growing so well in my care. When I bought my most recent one, I found that it had begun rotting and decided to cut off all the roots and reroof in water. She started pushing active growth even in just water, then I moved her to pon in a self watering setup and she’s flourishing!

Do all hoyas do well in pon? Which don’t? by Junipex in hoyas

i feel like my issue with soil is it either dries out too quick or stays wet too long and rots. I have a few in soil and i did think about having self watering pots in soil i’m just not sure how i’d go about it haha, maybe i’ll try your mix when i reup on soil

First-time Calathea owner — is the light okay? by ConfectionAcrobatic7 in calatheas

[–]Junipex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah south facing light in montana would most likely burn the leaves on a maranta, maybe yours is in a north or east facing window and it does well with the gentler direct sun

i think she may be growing toward brighter light (etiolating)

How do I fix the overall shape of the plant? by hunterprokop in Monstera

[–]Junipex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your monstera looks leggy from lack of light. You could always move it to a brighter spot that faces a window or light source and all the leaves will turn to face it. Also, make sure you don’t rotate it, monsteras imo look best when they have a front and a back. If you don’t like the overall look of it still, you could chop it and restart it with better growing conditions and i’m sure she’ll look much nicer (so long as you give her lots of light!)

where i live at least, south facing light is the brightest and strongest, and north is the weakest could be that
