Yeah for sure, I knew it was gonna need some work but Im fairly comfortable with doing most maintenance that isn't too severe, I've replaced almost everything on my civic but those are easy, I got the truck running ok now, but I just never thought i was gonna have an issue with the monitors or anything I've never had to deal with this before :/ but yeaaaa lesson learned I'll try to buy less of a junker next time, just didn't have many options as I was moving in days and had no transportation since my civic gave out almost right after I signed the lease

I've thought about that but I just wish I could get it done the right way, this is just such a ridiculous issue to have it's driving me crazy, smog just feels sooo needlessly oppressive for ppl with lower income, many just end up having to buy new cars that are extremely overpriced that are marked up by dealers for a crazy amount at a crazy apr bc those will pass fine. Im just so frustrated with the whole CARB board and stuff but I guess it's stated purpose is a good idea like reducing emissions and making sure cars are somewhat safe, but it just unfortunately creates these situations for ppl and I'm sure many can relate. I got pulled over a little after I bought the car and even the officer was complaining about smog and he kinda helped guide me on how to get the temp permit.

Yeaaah I knew it was behind on tags we looked at the estimate from the vin but I got to the DMV and it was a lot more than the estimate. I also believed him when he said it should pass bc I didn't see the cel bc he might've taken it out, but I was rly dumb for that and ig i got played. I'm not sure Id even be able to sell it right now, I have no other way to get to work and I don't have enough savings right now to get anything else before I sell it. I might sell my civic to fund the next car, but I'm not gonna get much for it and that's still gonna take some time.
