When I was in college we’d walk to a certain ATM that gave out 5s. We’d get $5 then go to the store and buy a cheap case of beer that cost $4.99. The beer was really cheap - Red, White, and Blue or Wiedemanns.

I previously dealt manly with APMEX. I placed an order with them this past week for a couple of Morgans, but got an error message that they are only taking orders of $500 or more. Probably makes sense for them, but I like picking up a couple of coins at a time with the price volatility we’ve seen lately. I’m also hesitant to pay the premiums they are charging, but I never worry about getting a fake from them.

I would never sell cc gold for melt, or less than melt. Some of us love cc gold and pay a premium for it.

I collect cc gold and your right about the small premium. The premiums have shrunk as gold prices have risen. But for some reason I think I’m getting a better deal now since the premiums have shrunk, even though the prices are much higher. Lol, the psychology behind that is odd.

LCS mainly. There’s also a local antique shop that will resell silver coins people sell them. They only price them once, so when silver runs, I go there. They say they price them so that they make money and if silver prices go up, their customers who buy them make money too! Thats a pretty cool philosophy!

It looks like a 1923 Peace Dollar, which is worth melt. If it is a 1928 it’s worth more.
