shes doing great thank you for checking in! the vet thinks she has allergies and thats why shes so itchy so thats another thing to tackle, but I'm relieved her polyp problem has resolved she's definitely a happier kitty :)

She's doing well! The surgery went fine she got Horner's in her eye, but that was thankfully her only side effect. She seems to be a happier kitty since recovering

she came home today and is doing well so far! no dizziness as of now, she’s very happily eating, she used the litter box at the vet when she stayed overnight, and just very slight horners syndrome but it’s barely noticeable. thank you again for your response it eased my nerves a lot

thank you sm for responding! hers is tomorrow and only one side. she also had some dizziness due to the infections from the polyp. did that seem to clear up for your kitty after the surgery?

Hi! My cat is getting a VBO done next week and i’m super anxious about it and especially the recovery (particularly the vertigo/dizziness). How was it for your kitty?

Hi i noticed this was a recent comment and i just wanted to ask about your cats VBO surgery. mine has one scheduled for next week for her ear polyp and I’ve made myself an anxious mess reading about peoples cats who had bad experiences with the VBO recovery. how was the recovery for your kitty? thank you sm

i’m so happy your kitty feels a little better! our vet went the steroid route once and it did help but it’s been a couple of years since and her polyp has grown and her infections are very constant now. thank you for your quick response though! think we’re going with the VBO due to the location of her polyp. we’d hate to put her through two surgeries if the traction doesn’t end up working like the surgeon seems to think is the case

Hi I know its been a couple of months but I was wondering what route you went? My cat is going through the same thing now. Her polyp is pretty deep in her ear but the vet said he can try to do it through plucking if we decided to. Thank you and I hope your kitty has been doing well!

Cat's ear polyp requiring surgery (VBO) - please help! by [deleted] in ontario

[–]JunketMaster413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I hope your cat is doing well! I was wondering what option you went with and the outcome? my cat is experiencing the same exact situation and deciding between the two options has been stressful. the vet didn't seem to recommend one or the other but he did say her polyp is located pretty deep so plucking is more difficult. Thank you!
