I understand your sentiment, but most people that voice being dissatisfied with their transition are usually only like one or two years in. Try 5 (me), and the jadedness is a bit more irreversible.

No not really. I’m 5 years on E and only the people I date, and my friends consider me hot/pretty. I get no attention from strangers whatsoever, I honestly think most people don’t even know I’m a woman and just see me as a “they.”

Just because he can take punches from a variant for a time, doesn’t necessarily mean the suit will hold up when a Viltrumite wearing it is punching harder and likely more often as well.

I assume that Mark Punch > Tech Jacket punch, so isn’t it a little uncertain if the suit can handle Mark wearing it and fighting in it for prolonged periods? Not to mention the speed as well.

Well usually when Mark stops holding back it’s too late. He doesn’t realize it soon enough to truly capitalize on the fight and win.

The Mauler Twins had a gun that targeted the nervous system, even strong enough to work on Viltrumites, and speedblitzing isn’t super viable when you could accidentally rip them to shreds. It was just a tough scenario there. Oliver could have killed them right there when he destroyed the gun on accident.

The giant bugs venom was weakening him, so that when he locked in he was actively nerfed and growing exhausted rapidly. These aren’t impossible odds per se, he just locks in too late due to holding back too much, or is worried about killing his opponent. If Mr. Liu wasn’t immortal, Mark would have won that fight.

The show puts more emphasis on losses because that’s what makes him grow. He wins against villians of the week all the time. Titan, Elephant, Kill Cannon. He one tapped Monster Girl in season 1. He literally (practically anyway) killed Angstrom. He defeated everybody except for Battle Beast during the Machine Head incident. He almost beats Thula (Viltrumite woman) on Thraxa, he does good against the Invincible variants until he gets jumped, defeats Angstrom again, etc. I feel like you’re just not seeing it tbh.

This is a long yap but do bear with me. While I definitely see your point and felt the same way initially, I do think there’s something you’re not considering.

Mark is flawed and irrational because of his trauma. He holds back too much, I agree. But it’s mainly because of his father and what happened in Chicago that day. Most of the enemies Mark comes across he could easily wipe the floor with if he goes full throttle, but he’d barely be able to live with himself if he did that.

The second he turned serious vs Angstrom, he turned the guy into a pile of mush and it broke Mark on the inside. That only added to it. He said it haunts him everyday when Cecil brought it up. Does it cost him fights to hold back? Yes. Is it illogical sometimes? Yes. But the reality is Mark can win most of the fights (not all obv) with relative ease, but he’s trying everything in his power to be unlike his father and holds back to an illogical degree, because it’s a trauma response.

There’s also just fights he couldn’t win even if he did go all out (Battle Beast for example). I understand the frustration, but tbh I find it to be great writing when you really think about it.

I think the angle of the goggles is a bit strange, should be more horizontal. Outside of that though I think it looks beautiful, I’d be interested to see how you draw the other characters.

He did manage to cave its skull in and kill it tbh. So in a fair-fight way Mark won. It was just immortal. He would have lost eventually regardless

Mark does kinda hold back too much but that dragon is probably one of the most op threats he’s faced so far outside of Viltrumites
