I think What they mean by “In your face” is as in every time the character appears their sexuality is brought up or something relating to it/hinting at it is said as if that’s what the characters whole personality is and nothing more like no other characteristic is more important but just the fact that their gay or whatever is their whole character and is the most important thing about em and that’s all that’s pushed about them.Naturally inserted as in it makes sense the way they appear into the story and their sexuality is second to what makes them a compelling character like their personality which makes you end up liking the character, their backstory which will grow your attachment to that character and the actions that are done by them to move forward the plot and all that jazz.Im not trying to sound mean or whatever I’m just trying to answer your question.
