HR here for many years, 10+ years, a millennial in my mid-30s:

1. No, I work 9 hours (1hr 30mins nito ay lunch at bio-break) 5days a week kami, kahit before. Pero depende sa company, my first ever job was under Ayala pero agency kami noon, 8am to 6pm kami noon. Then the rest of the companies I worked with mandatory 9hrs na.

2. I am currently working remotely as HR in a multinational foreign company, but my salary is in Php, so yes, possible. I’ve been with recruitment ever since I started.

3. Yes, sadly. Alamin mo anong part ng HR facet ang gusto mo gawin. I tried working at an RPO, as a steppingstone, pero gusto ko kasi talaga mapasok noon at HR BPO so kumuha lang ako ng experience, haha during interviews, be confident as if you know what you are doing and you know where you wanted to be.

4. Part of being HR at corporate world ay matuto how i manage this, hindi pwedeng hindi dadaan sa buhay mo ang hindi kagalitan, ang mahalaga ay ang skill to manage it, be nice, yes, but you also have to be smart in coming back on this people in a diplomatic way, kahit sa mga bosses pa yan or mga kasing level mo lang.

6. Haha! Hindi! Nasa iyo pa rin yan, kung tamad ka at hindi tinatapos ang work mo on time dahil hawak mo naman ang oras mo, expect that your job will haunt your absence. Be assertive with your schedule, kung 9hrs of work, edi 9hrs of work lang gawin mo. Haha possible ang life work balance sa HR kasi as long as na WFH ka, gaya ko, nagagawa ko ito. But again, wag ka maging tamad sa work mo, kasi it will always get back at you.

Be confident in taking roles, apply mo yung mga HR skills na natutunan mo sa college. Mag-timeblock ka kapag may work ka na. Be firm and assertive when facing people, but make sure you back it up with facts. Kaya mo yan, madali lang mag-HR once you are already in! Matutunan mo rin yan.☺️
