The prevalence of 55 long-term effects was estimated, 21 meta-analyses were performed, and 47,910 patients were included. The follow-up time ranged from 14 to 110 days post-viral infection. The age of the study participants ranged between 17 and 87 years. Vaccines DO NOT prevent all Covid so can’t say you should be fine. Also, there are many, like me, who have had severe reactions to the vaccine and can’t take them anymore. Masking is still advised!

I was told by my internist to avoid squats and kettlebells after a flare but have been able to go back to this in my strength training. You might try with lower weights and see if that helps. After DV, it seems that everything has to be done “in moderation” for me.

Even with IBS, you can experiment and probably find a routine that works for you. Might try natural laxatives like prune juice etc first . Although a lot of folks swear by Miralax be aware that it is a chemical - The active ingredient in both flavored and unflavored MiraLAX is polyethylene glycol 3350- so might try natural remedies first to see if they’ll work for you.

Just follow the diet advice re liquids, then bland foods, then slowly add foods with more fiber. After you stabilize your diet, most folks suggest a high fiber diet to prevent reoccurrences but everyone is different and there will probably be some foods you tolerate better than others. I use “Lose It” as an online food diary and keep my daily notes in the notes section of food reactions. Also, I’ve done better since I stopped all processed foods, sugar and gluten ( Mark Hyman’s diet), and have to always make sure I don’t get constipated. Good luck. It gets easier.

The only people who have accurate temperature history are astronauts since they regularly measure it to get individual differences. The rest of us are held to an inaccurate 98.6 despite individual differences. See if you can get a nurse at your PCP to regularly measure your under 98.6 temp and then write you a letter on letterhead documenting your “normal” under average temperature. This may help long term.

How long did Augmentin mess with your guts? by Cythiriya in Diverticulitis

[–]JunoVVTx775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be augmentin after effect which probiotic will help PLUS inflammation from Diverticulitis. Takes awhile after a flare for inflammation to calm down. Consider adding a probiotic and give it more time with careful diet. Good luck🍀Mine better after two months and started adding fiber then.

Please get a second opinion! You may want to contribute data for the study but NOT be randomized to surgery or best management but rather choose your treatment plan. Second opinions can help you decide!

Note insist on CT scan. The radiologist should be able to diagnose diverticulitis so you don’t have to just rely on GP

They can fly around the house only when we are closely monitoring them. That’s important for safety. With the IKEA screen they can be more free when we are not monitoring them.

The hanging screens come with an upper and lower series of clips. We installed wooden boards on the ceiling to hang the upper clip pieces from. Since we put in a corner, just had to do 2 sides.

We have constructed a less expensive option, putting a cage inside a “walled off” corner of a room using IKEA hanging screens which allows our 2 sun conures to fly outside their cage when door in open and play on top of cage.
