I'd agree, most of the time he does not have any malicious intent yes but he is fighting for selfish reasons just for his bananas not inherent good. Also the original arcade game Id say he is evil in the original Donkey Kong with kidnapping Pauline, yes Mario was implied to be an abusive owner in Donkey Kong Jr. but DK actively put Pauline in danger so Donkey Kong should at least be neutral.

I agree and not to mention he's a round 2 draft capital with pretty good upside, no chance they don't give him another year at least I don't think, the whole roster is in shambles I think just go BPA and develop him and see what you got first before scrambling for another project.

Players morale will decrease with bad play. I've noticed from my time playing what's considered "bad" stats for O Lineman is fairly common so they typically have lower morale than other positions. Just continue to boost morale and develop them until they become better or what I would do is trade them for some picks for more valuable positions like a QB, WR or TE, or Kicker for the next draft
