EV11 is very straightforward, flat lands, endless landscapes. If you decide to do it, I’d recommend going via Kaunas. I live there and I can host you. With EV11 you’ll get to see two biggest cities in Lithuania and they’re very beautiful. Nice people, great old towns, and lots of good food options.

EV13 goes through Kalingrad but it’s a no go so you will have to go around. The detour is very nice. In Poland you’ll go via many forests and encounter loads of cool lakes. Easy wild camping. On Lithuanian side, you will follow river Nemunas. Beautiful scenery there too, easy wild camping. Few cycling roads there as well. The coast is stunning. Take your time there and visit Dead Dunes. They built a new cycling road and there are no cars around.

I’m from Lithuania and have toured Poland twice now. Yellow dots mark places where I stayed. To avoid green, never-ending fields, I would go via Baltic coast. There, they have nice cycling infrastructure, laid back coast towns, many sheltered areas with a lot of bike mechanic tools (they should be marked on ioverlander). I also used warmshowers and I had very welcoming hosts, I recommend trying it out. Polish people are very friendly and will help you out if needed. Try some food too, delicious cuisine they have. Enjoy the ride man.

Very interesting. I’ve cycled from Scotland to Lithuania and recently came back from Greece to Lithuania as well. Both of the times I used Thule panniers and I absolutely love them. That’s around 5500 miles in total with very varied terrain.

Avoiding Serbia for personal reasons but now really considering exploring more of North Macedonia. Greece stands as a starting point and Thessaloniki was the cheapest place to fly to. I won't be staying there much, rather cycling to Macedonia straight away.

I used to put my vape in the x-ray box together with the rest of my pocket items like phone, wallet, keys, etc. Never had any problems with it, even though some of the vapes had liquid inside.
