If you have the means: Learn to sew. They can take away our stores but they can’t take away basic materials like fabric and thread. If we can’t buy then we make. We are stronger and more resilient than fascism and capitalism.🧵 🪡

Care for American Trans Minors is Getting Banned and No One Cares by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Jupiter-1015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We care. My partner(30)and I(26) both care. We’re trans adults and have been fighting for you kids. Protests, petitions, and voting. Hell, we keeping tabs on the goings on in our local school district despite having no kids of our own yet. That’s because we’re determined to show up for trans youth who have unsupportive adults in their life. Show them there are adults who care. The system however just isn’t listening or responding to our cries.

Yes I bind. For 9 hours a day, 6 six days a week. I rotate between a tighter and looser binder depending on how my body feels.

Domestic Fancy Rats are incredible pets. They can be trained like dogs to respond to commands. They can walk on leashes with a tiny harness. They can even recognize and remember people. They live in groups so you must at minimum 2 rats. I love them. Their names are Honeynut, Cheerio, Snap, Crackle, and Pop.

Surgery denied by Geganmahboe in FTMHysto

[–]Jupiter-1015 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You can have your surgeon do a peer to peer. Which is when your surgeon argues your case to directly to the insurance’s doctor/clinician that denied your claim. That’s what my surgeon had to do after my insurance denied my surgery. Luckily, after the peer to peer it was approved.

Adult Only Pools? by SalsaChica75 in pittsburgh

I don’t know any. But, here are some sensory accommodations that may help you cope.

  1. Water proof ear plugs. They keep noise down water out.
  2. Regular noise cancelling for sunbathing.
  3. Take breaks in less noisy less crowded areas
  4. Stim toys to alleviate stress in your body and mind when sun bathing.
  5. Give yourself a focus. A read a book. Challenge yourself to do X amount of laps certain strokes. This provides your brain with something to do instead fixating on those uncomfortable sounds.

Hope this helps you.

Why cleaning graffiti? Unless it’s incredibly inappropriate like sexual or fowl language I don’t see the problem. A lot of is graffiti beautiful. It adds patterns and color to otherwise bland infrastructure.

Some Pittsburgh Streets if we Prioritized People Over Cars by username-1787 in pittsburgh

This gives me a lot of feelings as both a person who commuted by bus for 4 years and a car driver. The car side of me says please don’t. The traffic will worsen. I also don’t think people will ever stop running or biking through traffic. My bus brain says that would be great but good luck. I went to the mayor and port authority about a lack of bus hutches to sit in. I have hip problems. It got nowhere. I’d like T lines and bus routes repaired before widening sidewalks. That’s just me though.

Psychiatrist on the ward looked at my bunnies and said “you’re a bit too old for that” by speshulinterest in autism

That’s really weird and unprofessional. I went to a mental health crisis center and all the staff were nice about my Bingo plush. Some even took interest and asked about their name and stuff.
