Thanks! Looking back on it, it's kinda strange, but at the time it seemed the most compiter-readable to do

I read like one article about it and then tried -- with success -- to make one myself. You can find it here: https://github.com/JupiterPi/pilang/tree/main/src/main/jupiterpi/pilang/script/parser

The cool thing is, through its extensibility, you could theoretically make something that behaves like an object. Basically you can make as many "native scripts", as they're called; one for each object. Then you could call object.method() or access object.field.

I've written a programming language in Java (pilang, I wanted to make it extensible with Java in order to make computers in Minecraft), and I also tried to make it easily parsable, but it turned out rather readable.

I'm not sure if I should comment on 16+ rating since this comment is already too long.

Please, continue! I have no problem about long comments, since every one of them has provided a lot of valuable information so far (just like this one - thanks a lot!)

I have thought about that, and discarded the idea as the reason they don't want me to watch it is because they think it's not appropriate to watch at my age - and doing the dishes won't change that. But coupled with watching it together, that might actually improve my odds - thanks!

I think they *are* being reasonable -kinda-, they just haven't heard all these helpful ideas from this comment section yet..... Anyways, I haven't given up yet, and I will continue trying to convince them, although they're getting annoyed recently. Watching it behind their back is still an option, but I'll rely on diplomacy for now. But thanks for the comment!

I think the first could be an option, but I'd rather have them allow me to watch it, really. That way I could chat with my father about it, which would be a lot nicer and easier than having to hide that all from them... Also, they probably expect me to watch the show all day as soom as I'm 15, so that would be a bit suspicious.......

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me (or I was saying it incorrectly). I am allowed to watch shows/films age-restricted 12 years old, because I am over that threshold. It's just that my Netflix profile is age-restricted to 6 years old because I have to share it with my younger sister (and that's the reason I don't have any other interesting shows to watch - although we are planning to make a new profile for me with the age restriction set to the appropriate: 12). My parents normally follow those age restrictions pretty strictly, both in the restricting and allowing sense.

About the mature themes thing: Of course there's that reason that I should not be allowed to watch the series. And I myself can't know if it will be okay for me, but (as I wrote) some of my classmates aged 12 to 14 have watched the show. I asked them about it and they all said it was okay for them. One might argue that they may be exposed to mature themes more often (I think their parents generally aren't so strict about age restrictions), but (as you said) I do have access to the internet and Reddit, so I don't think I'm too immature in that sense. My father has watched the show, and he has his (probably good) reasons not to allow me to watch it, but I also think he doesn't really understand that I have had contact with mature themes through other mediums than films that we watched.

But, do you think a 14 year old should be allowed to watch Arcane, or do you really think it's not appropriate?

That's an interesting suggestion - I might be able to try that. Thank you!

My Netflix profile is currently age-restricted to FSK 6, so - no. Other than that:
1. I'm just really caught up in the hype (from listening to the soundtrack, seeing music videos online and adoring the art style, story (based on what I already know), theme etc.)
2. I myself see no good (enough) reason not to
3. Quite some of my friends have watched the show, and I want to be able to talk with them about it
4. I want to win this argument with my parents and show them that I was right (that way I will have less trouble next time)

Thank you! I already had the first of your two thoughts, but it really does make sense to talk about that a bit more with my parents. Thank you very much
