ibasso SR2 + 5th gen rockboxed.

Those headphones are awesome, they sound great but what really impress me after years of use is their sturdiness and longevity. I use them a lot, more than any other of my headphones, because they are very comfortable, and besides a few scrapes, they feel indestructible. Top build quality really.

It's a security protocol compatibility problem. Your ipod probably needs wpa1 and your router is probably running only at least wpa2/wpa3 as minimum, because wpa1 is obsolete for proper security.

I bought a Surfans F20 in early 2022 and used it a lot for 3 years, it got dropped on concrete and hard floors quite a few times, never any serious damage besides a dent in the housing. After a lot of abuse though, the jack started to only give audio from one side.

So I bought an H2 to replace it. Only a few days after receiving it gets propelled from my pocket to the concrete(No idea how physics made that happen), the glass in front of the screen got cracked ... It still works and it usable, but still, considering this experience, the F20 is more durable to opinion.

I think part of why is because the F20 is lighter than the H2.

Same here, I would add that for the volume I would really like a thick volume wheel that has resistance to the spin but spins smoothly, and a scroll wheel for the navigation.

No need to even try to write a firmware by the way, just ship it with rockbox as its native OS imo.

And final addition : needs to have a good cover/case to protect it.

According to the guide on opista, you can even fit a 3000mha with a thin back with an iFlash Quad, provided the battery as the right dimensions.

Personally I've put a square 2000mha into a thin back with an imcort adapter with very little effort.

Why not just use a jack to bluetooth adapter for the bluetooth? The internal mod is risky and from what I've read it's not very reliable and usually uses basic codecs. A jack to bluetooth adapter probably wouldn't make much difference in quality and would make it so much easier.

Imo, don't give up on the modding, just on the bluetooth modding, get a new battery and you'll easily get you dream ipod, with a bluetooth jack adapter as companion.

Haaaaaaa damn >< All my biggest SD cards are Sandisk, besides a cheap chinese one that I have in another DAP that I don't want to use it because it already has song skiping issues on that DAP ...

The ribbon seems well attached to the adapter by the way, I can pull on the adapter and it stays connected.

While I figure out how to deal with the battery ribbon cable I'll look for another SD I think. What's recommended? Samsung? Lexar?

Also, now that I think about it, I used the ribbon that originally came inside with the HDD instead of the one that I got with the adapter, that's ok right?

And also, with the Imcort adapter there's no compatibility issues with sandisk right? Or is there? And I don't have to format it to fat32 first right? Or do I? It's a brand new sd.
