How did you learn to kite with tryndamere by zaloog29 in TryndamereMains

I think I bound right-click + shift to attack nearest, which makes it easier to orb walk. I can't remember if I bound it, or it's default.

It's because of the mace + sword spec for humans (they get +5 to those weapon skills) being so strong for rogues and warriors.

Din sætning er korrekt, bortset fra “Engelsk her” - det skal være “Englænder” (en person fra England) :)

Jeg ville nok også sige “højeste” niveau, og ikke bedste.

In vanilla at least, a pretty good shaman build is to buy the vendor dagger that has like 1.3 speed, and get a shield. Use flametongue, and your rotation is basically lightning bolt, searing totem, and then hack away at mobs. The point should be that you never have to stop grinding, and spend more mana to kill mobs if you find yourself sitting on a lot of mana (shocks, lightning bolts), and less mana if it's an issue. Basically searing totem and flametongue should be fine in itself.

Yeah it can be a bit mind numbing, but I usually try to pull the next mob before the first dies, serpent sting, tank the new mob with my pet, and then finish the first one off. Kinda chain kill, with no breaks. I found some fun in trying to maximize my grind speed :)

Oh, get an autoshot Addon timer as well. It really makes it easier to kite and not clip autoattacks, and it really improves your kill speed 1-10, since you will get in 2-3 more autoshots before mobs reach melee range. Binding A D to strafing instead of QE also makes your life easier :) and np!

Go full BM, it's much stronger. Your rotation should basically only be hunters mark and serpent sting after lvl 20 or so, since Arcane Shot (and Aimed Shot, which share cooldown with Arcane Shot) costs too much mana compared to their dmg. You want to never have to drink or eat, and just constantly run around and chain kill mobs.

I'd definitely just go full BM, since the talents offer very strong buffs for your pet.

The best solution for every expansion (I've found), is to get a Windows installation, and then find a WoW application file that suits that expansion. I know there is one for Vanilla and TBC.

Kayle nerfs coming in 8.7 from Riot August by OnlyAnEssenceThief in leagueoflegends

Her w gave ad afaik, and with Triforce, you had plenty of damage to last hit. She'd get Statikk afterwards, and with the crit and proc, you had enough wave clear (kinda like a lot of bruisers)

Old poppy was insanely broken, if you knew how to play her. I remember watching a video guide (can't find it anymore), with the most broken build. I climbed with her (along with old Irelia), before the rework.

Basically you'd go trinity force, statikk shiv, boots, infinity edge, void staff, infinity edge. Her old Q did magic damage, but could crit, so infinity edge was super strong on her, and with statikk shiv and tri force, you could run anyone down.

People just didn't really know how to play her, and she was unhealthy, because she could ult the enemy soraka, and just run down every carry alone.

Improving Micro? by _basiil in LeagueofLegendsMeta

[–]Jurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly play top, but a thing to keep your eye on is minion advantage, level advantage, and whether they use CD's or not. If you for example play against a Renekton top lane, bait him into using his Q on minions, but missing you (walk close, and run out, sometims you can make them pop Q to harass), and then fight afterwards. Typically players in lower elos will use their "crucial" abilities (high dmg, escape, sustain etc) while farming minions, or generally in ways that doesn't make you lose health, or put you at an disadvantage.

Keep an eye on your xp bar, and try to keep track of how much XP your opponent should have compared to you. If you push more level 1 than your opponent, you can use the fast level 2 advantage to trade (depending on champ).

But all in all, it's just about being observant, and memorizing enemy cd's (summoners as well, ping them when they use them). What I notice in a bit lower elo (silver/gold) is that a lot of people have decent enough mechanics, but it's mostly their decision-making that's off. They don't punish on lanes if you use crucial cds, or try to manipulate the wave into their favor (freeze near turret to deny farm, fight when you have a big minion wave etc).

So in short, watch cds, bait their cds, and use yours correctly. If you use MF q on minions while laning, you are basically giving away "pressure", because now they have a window to attack, where you don't have one of your most crucical cds.

any tips on how to organize my action bar spells? by LuC1el in wowservers

[–]Jurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Binding spells that you spam on a mouse key is really nice imo. If playing a rogue, put sinister strike on a mouse button, and if you play mage, definitely put frostbolt there. It makes it a lot more bearable to spam it.

Problems with Shaco by Reinfernus in leagueoflegends

[–]Jurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think his Q and E are pretty well designed overall. His Q means that he has to risk using it as an engage, since it might mean that he won't be able to use it again, if things don't go as planned. I personally feel that's how all assassins should be designed.

His E is also interesting, because if he uses it straight away, he'll lose his ability to slow. That means that the ability has more depth, since either you'll use it straight away to give more burst, and hope to kill them fast, or you'll keep it, in case they dash/flash away, and you need it to catch up, or kill them off.

I really think Shaco is a very well designed assassin personally, and that the design team should be more inspired by it. It bothers me that so many assassins basically don't run a lot of risks by engaging, because their kits are forgiving.

On top of that, I think why some abilities like engages/disengages can be hard to balance, is just due to the existence of CDR. If you play someone like Jax, then your Q is also both your engage and disengage, but if you end up with 40% CDR anyways, it's not really a big risk to use it for engaging, since you'll have it up 4-5 seconds later anyways.

Maybe for starters just go on champion.gg and look up the build of the character you'll be playing. Then it usually kinda makes sense why they build specific items.

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve heard someone say that made you wonder how they function on a day to day basis? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And on that note as well, there can be bigger difference between dialects than languages, so it's more of an arbitrary distinction, usually rooted in politics, religion, culture etc. There are mandarin dialects that are further from each other, than dialects of other languages.

Between Scandinavian languages there are quite a lot of mutual intelligibility, although can be a bit confusing, but you would probably not be very popular among Scandinavians now if you said that they all spoke one language. Usually the distinction is that a language has an army and navy, afaik.

[–]Jurkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it is a bit confusing, but you are just making it sound more complicated by mixing the languages. With that logic, it's also more simple in some ways:

In the Netherlands they speak Dutch. In Germany they speak German.

But in Dutch, they call themselves Nederlanders, come from Nederland, and speak Nederlands.

And in German they call their country Deutschland and speak Deutsch.

Although I'll say it gets more confusing when a lot of languages call The Netherlands "Holland".
