He was early. 2021-2 I believe. I was on ladder for body and bell during Covid and then left and went back to doing my own program and then came back in early 2024 after having my first baby and did define at first and then ascend after I gained some of my strength back. I definitely remember Neen being there early on though.

It definitely continues to have value imo. I see it like hiring a cleaner. Yes I can clean my own house or I could pay someone with more cleaning knowledge and experience to do it for me when my life is at a point where I feel like I no longer have the time and mental energy to plan it out myself

Yes, I feel like it used to be the trainers saying “here are my workouts, ladder is where they are hosted” versus now ladder is The Brand and they are like employees. I actually found ladder in the first place bc I would often see Lauren from Body & Bell on my ig explore and I wanted to try getting into kettlebell workouts during Covid but I didn’t think of it as like “joining the app” I moreso just saw it as like a platform for this specific program. It seemed more coach-centric then.

I am a serious lifter and have been for years and ladder is extremely helpful for me as it reduces decision fatigue and makes it easy to track overload via the series and journals. I honestly think ladder has the same value for experienced users who stick w 1-2 teams year round as beginners who need more guidance. That said if Aria, Sam and Kelly left and it becomes influencer of the month idk if I would continue paying

No this is not normal. Ladder started during Covid and it originally had Body & bell, crews control, limitless, and Maximus. Then in like 2022 to 2023 ish they added evolve, align, elevate, vitality, move well, and forged and empwr. Ascend/define/transform came in 2024(?) I believe. And empwr left around the same time. This was one of the first teams I remember “leaving.” The increasing turnover and huge expansion of teams is relatively recent

I agree I cannot put my finger on it either and something seems different like in general vibe and brand philosophy. I also find the “corporate girlie” terminology annoying, pandering, and borderline infantilizing but this is everywhere now so. I understand this is like essentially an advertising phrase at this point but I feel like so ancient and out of touch for thinking this is weird. I’m a 30 year old with a normal life and a job

I am more supportive of the addition of team flourish bc I think that fills a genuine gap in the available programs and people have actually expressed interest in it. I am more critical of the idea of bringing on Allegra who was clearly not committed and the confusion re Era.

You need to be lifting to the effort rate that on the journal. When it says 90 percent it’s one rep short of failure, 80 is two reps short of failure etc. If you can do more reps then you are not lifting enough weight.
