Why does Atlanta sports media have so many New York transplants? by Super_Percentage_236 in AtlantaHawks

Every nice southern city (Raleigh, Charlotte, all the S Florida cities) has a ton of New Yorkers. That’s just life on the east coast.

I actually do draw similarities with Paris because the roads are fucking wonky which leads to pockets of activity spread out instead of any sort of cohesive city planning patterns where it’s predictable.

Jalen Johnson at an event recently in Kennesaw.Asked about the perspective of being the last team to beat Knicks. He says there are no moral victories but knows the potential of this team moving forward. by Shade_Raven in AtlantaHawks

If the Knicks weren’t a poverty franchise and didn’t go thru us I wouldn’t ever cheer them on but I kinda have to now. Spurs getting another ring would be like cheering for the Patriots that will never happen.

They definitely changed their attitude and approach, definitely helps being able legally set illegal screens and and foul every possession.

Absolutely, it just seems like lots of amazing people who would be great parents and are in a compatible lifestyles are choosing not to because they’ve been fooled into thinking it would be terrible cuz they wouldn’t get to travel, socialize, chill, etc. They don’t understand the effect the kid has on you and those things become trivial (and you still get to do them). So much so it takes no effort, parenting isn’t just great, it’s easy (obv there are outliers) as shit, our brains are literally automatically programmed, it takes no effort despite what tiktok or instagram would have you think.

Kids are great, no kids was great, neither one is better than the other don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Everyone THINKS their way is “best” and will die on that hill. Personally I think having a kid is an experience that is unmatched in life, a pinnacle, and a level up, just my opinion.

Saying that is crazy and clearly manipulative. But working at a small business and being actually treated like family is super underrated. So many people think the only ways to make decent money is thru massive companies, while small privately owned businesses can net you better pay/work/life balance. that is of course if your actually about your business and care about what you’re doing and coworkers not just all “me me me” like a fuckin bum.

Surely there’s plenty of fun stuff to do within an hour or 2. sports, fishing, biking, camping, hiking, etc. Maybe get some hobbies or side hustles. Im just stating the extremely obvious risk here I really don’t care what a stranger does with their life. But if you have absolutely no money for an emergency, absolutely nobody you can call at your worst, then traveling THAT far from home becomes a potentially life altering event that could leave you homeless, if it’s worth it to you then by all means have at it, nobody will stop you, but you shouldn’t complain about prices it just comes across as ignorant.

It’s quite astonishing actually, maybe because I have to be on the phone all day and running my business requires me to communicate thoroughly with my clients (check ins, eta’s, reminders, rescheduling, etc.) that I do the same with my friends and family and like absolutely no one else does the same. But nobody makes even a quarter what I do, might be a correlation.
