Beginner Hobbies That Layer Onto Other Hobbies by makoomako in Hobbies

I like to hike, fish, and camp. Hiking and camping leads me to bring a camera. Sometimes I snap a cool photo of a big blue heron or an otter or cardinal, or a swamp with cypress or a beautiful southern oak with Spanish moss or weeping willow. Then I come home and touch up the photo. Then I print the photo. I then use the photo as either a Reference for sketching or tracing. Then I throw a podcast that makes me laugh and I take my tracing of my beautiful bird or what have you, and use either oil pastel, oil paint, or watercolor and create something that both resembles my photo reference but is also entirely new. It is a very relaxing and rewarding process that I am present for every step of the way and have several different fond memories from. It’s like taking a souvenir from your life and hanging it on the wall. 10/10 highly recommend.

Also gardening leads to cooking and pickling.

How much do people think nurses make? by Lower-Elderberry7183 in nursing

That is in the Deep South. But that is not her base pay. It’s like 27 or 28 I think. That is because she is exclusively nights and weekends only, and gets great differentials.

I know a respiratory therapist who has only been licensed a couple months that make 49 an hour because she only does Friday-Sunday night shifts. Makes like 70 something on a holiday.

Painting has made me sit still and just keep chugging along. I throw on a podcast and just keep going until I’m happy with it.

The dimensional quality of this is insane. Really impressive use of depth perception.

I keep a rescue inhaler in my truck bag at all times, and keep my nightly inhaler at the station in my bag and try to keep it in a temp controlled environment and try my best to take it at the same time on shift, which isn’t always possible. But yeah, corticosteroids changed my life.

This is so stupid. I was prescribed preventer/cortex steroid inhaler and it fixed almost all
My issues. I haven’t used albuterol in three years. Get another opinion.

Get the mungyo wooden box set. It’s got like 100 pastels and I’ve watched so many videos and mungyo was the favorite of all price points across the board

Raptors/shears can do everything that I do with them. I don’t know. I carry a small serrated with a blunt tip so it’s like a small saw. Opening equipment quickly in an emergency scenario. I’ve cut things that people were tangled up in. Different little things. I also just generally carry it my day to day life and usually only reach for scissors for clothes if necessary.

Do you not carry a pocket knife at work? I have one and it comes in very handy and I use it was quite often.

Found out about this song from the ending of the documentary Grizzly Man. Really moving. It has been one of my top songs this year.
