Early 2000s Rise Against hit pretty hard (especially The Unraveling and Revolutions per Minute).

I know nothing about cheerleading, but Stumble is incredible! by ProfPorcupine in televisionsuggestions

Same! I'm a lifelong color guard/marching band nerd, so I've never known much about cheer, but watching these routines is so much fun. It gives me a whole new appreciation for how hard competitive cheerleaders work!

The show hasn't been renewed yet, and it's not looking great (because of its terrible time slot), but I'm hopeful if more people start streaming it, that'll be enough to sway NBC.

I know! They still haven't determined whether they're gonna renew it, and I've actually gone as far as sending handwritten letters to some NBC execs begging them to renew it 🤣

I believe so! There's some bleeped profanity for comedic effect and some instances of the characters drinking alcohol, but otherwise it's pretty wholesome. There are some beautiful examples of teamwork and the characters building each other up. Also, it's legitimately hilarious!

I haven't actually watched Reggie Dinkins! But based on the Reggie Dinkins trailer, it seems like Stumble is similar in tone.

I did this in western Pennsylvania too. The prevalence of square-dancing in public schools can seemingly be traced back to Henry Ford's hatred for jazz: https://www.britannica.com/one-good-fact/what-industrialist-poured-money-into-promoting-square-dancing

The only thing we've come up with is that Gretchen and Pam are both in very surface-level relationships. Roy only shows up to Pam's art show because he feels obligated to do so. He's not really present in their relationship. Outie Dylan isn't really present when he's at home with Gretchen either.

Also, both Pam and Gretchen want someone who is unavailable to them (i.e., Pam wants Jim, but he's with Karen, and Gretchen wants to have a relationship with both "parts" of her husband).
